How much does the box containing the toilet weigh? I would like to know if I can carry it upstairs by myself.

Asked by: Kc
Everything is very neatly packed in a nice angled box with push in handles. Very easy to open and move in pieces if you need to and they are all nicely packed My plumber could carry the box they're out my unit with no problem and then I unpacked it outside of the bathroom since he had to remove the old toilet

Easy to install (and I had never installed a toilet before, though I am pretty handy). Easy close lid is very nice to have. Sometimes if i am using another toilet I have to be careful when shutting the lid so make sure it doesn't slam down. It flushes very quickly and uses very little water. Our old toilet from 1986 (original to the house) used to clog at least once a week with only usage from 2 adults. This toilet has clogged once and it has been 4 months. I am very pleased with this product, so much so that I bought another one for our other bathroom. Also, don't forget to buy some shims for installation to ensure a level toilet. And don't over tighten the bolts! *Tip* Check your local water company for rebates. I am in Atlanta and was able to get a hundred rebate for each new toilet!

We bought the Highline Classic the Complete Solution 2-piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Elongated Toilet in White toilet on Friday, 2/24, installed it the next day, and we noticed it slowly leaking and refilling every five or so minutes the afternoon of Sunday, 2/26. This toilet comes preassembled with everything and was easy to install so there shouldn't have been a problem with leaking. Monday, 2/27 we bought a Kohler replacement part (GP1059291), removed the original red seal, and installed the yellow replacement seal. We thought the problem was solved. It started doing the same slow leak again and then refilling. We are NOT happy at all with this experience and trusted the Kohler name/quality/reputation. Not anymore. We are expecting that Kohler will replace the faulty canister/seal assembly inside the tank. It's not like we're going to remove the toilet and return it.

Picked up toilet, however when Plumber unpacked it and had already assembled, I noticed the hole at the bottom (trap way where water collects and is flushed through the hole) was grimy, rough- I thought dirty, however when I tried to remove it, it was not removable, but unfinished ceramic- did not seem to have an enamel smooth coating. It seems to have a strong enough flush, because the hole is larger than usual. I've only had it for 2 days now. I can't return it- somehow the Home Depot said it had something to do with Sanitation laws. Also, it would cost me about another $200 to have it replaced in plumber costs. I unwrapped the toilet seat provided. The toilet seat had 3 large nicks. I had to get this toilet installed, since I did not have another toilet, and could not return it- store was too far away, and plumber would continue to charge the hours. Seemed like a great toilet- be sure to inspect it before you take it home from the store. I will try and return toilet seat for another one. will do follow up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will not regret Although my last review did not state mine as a verified purchaser and just a recommender I did buy at Home Depot. Researched everything till the wee morning hours and decided on this due to reviews and what could go wrong with more complicated toilets. This one flushes with power, is very quiet & refills quickly. Soft close lid does not matter to me as I use the carpeted lid cover but you can purchase that lid separately. Bottom seat comes with two bumpers to make that more quiet. I would recommend buying the extra thick wax ring and not the one that comes with it from other reviewer's and you may need the 20 inch supply hose since it is comfort height. Would absolutely purchase the toilet again! No regrets

This toilet looks pretty good, but the super cheap plastic lid really takes a lot away from it. We are not experienced DIYers, but the instructions, that were just printed on the box, were confusing at times. It is a good water saver and very narrow so saves space. But for almost $200 I think the lid should be better.

Highly recommend, these come with everything you need to install, including a seat, mounting hardware and all gaskets, just need to buy a water fill line or use your existing one. One thing I liked, there are no holes in the tank to secure the tank to the lower half. They used a mounting flange, attached to the bottom of the toilet tank. This leaves less chance of any water to leak past any mounting bolts, smart design. Easy to install, less than 15 minutes, not including any leveling. Great product for the price. These have been in use for one month with no issues since 1/14/17. One thing to keep in mind while shopping, look for a glazed trap way. This reduces the chances of toilet clogs. Before, purchasing, feel with fingers around bottom of toilet where waste will exit the toilet, if it's a smooth glass finish, this is usually a glazed finish. If it feels rough and not glassy smooth, look for another toilet. These toilets I bought has a glazed trap way as mentioned in article. I plan on buying a third one soon for another bathroom

At the store, I compared this model to one which was $80 more, and really didn't see any advantages to paying more. At this point I'm very glad I went with the Highline. The toilet functions perfectly, I like the elongated bowl, and the greater heighth makes for more comfortable seating. The only downside is that this model has a slimmer base than the toilet it replaced, with the result that there is some visible marking on the floor from the older wider Eljer model. I have managed to eliminate most of that, so not much of a problem. Home Depot employees were great--helped me load the toilet, which was quite heavy.

There is an internal crack in the area below the trap. Where is your quality control? This is very frustrating as a person that has trusted Kohler for years. I have photos. I'll be switching brands with the hope of getting what I am paying for. Very disappointed in Kohler.
