Have purchased 3 plungers, on the advice of HD, and none of them work on this toilet. Toilet has so little water going into the main that it plugs up at least once a week or more. Had to pull the toilet 3 times now to clear the main, flushing it out each time. Never had this problem with the older models.

I haven't found one yet that works. please post if you find one as mine clogs too. I did buy a 1.6gpf Kohler for the powder room, less solid waste there, so not a fair test, but it hasn't clogged as often as 1.3gpf Highline.

Thank you for your inquiry. Here are some possibilities to consider since your toilet may have a weak flush:
1. Make sure water level in tank is appropriate; there is a water line marking, probably on the flush valve in the tank, or on the inside back wall of the tank. If you still have paperwork that came with your Highline, it will probably show you how to adjust the tank water level.

2. Vent pipe is not blocked or clogged; a blocked vent pipe will prevent air from flowing through the vent. Correct air flow through the vent is critical for the correct waste flow.
3. Drain line...since you are continuously clearing the drain line, there may be some obstruction down the line, or if you have an older home the drain line pitch may be inadequate for current low-flow toilets.
If none of these seem to be issues, you may want to try a different type of toilet tissue. Some grades of toilet paper contain lanoline, dyes, and other compounds that provide certain benefits to consumers (i.e. softness, fragrance, strength) yet inhibit the proper breakdown of the paper in flowing water. There are also many brands of paper that use raw materials of different types with different breakdown characteristics. Here is a toilet paper test you could try:
1. Put a single ply sheet of toilet paper in a quart mason jar with tap water.
2. Shake the jar moderately for 10 seconds; the duration of a typical toilet flush.
3. The paper that dissolves or shreds most will provide the best flushing performance and less opportunity for clogs to develop.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, easy to install but keep an eye... ... keep an eye on what it does not include. It does not include the supply line, the usual length of this line is 12inch, but because this toilet is "taller" (Comfort Height), then you will need a longer water supply line. I bought the 20inch click seal line SKU # 1000733042 and worked perfect. This was the 2nd toilete I installed in my life and it was hassle free. August 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality toilet by Kohler We already had this model from a recent remodel and when our other 20 year old commode began wasting water we decided to go with the same proven model. Flush system uses a minimal amount of water with great results and the elongated bowl is quite accommodating. This replaced a contractor cadet sized toilet and the difference was night and day. Be sure to get a decent sized wax ring as the waste port sits a tad high on this model. Our closet flange sits about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the tile so we opted for an extra long wax ring with built in horn without issues. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'ts Great Some people at Kholer put their heads together and came up with a great product. Worked great for 3 months and suddenly backed up. Could not plunge it. Had the cesspool opened and the problem was in the line to the pool. From the start I wondered how you can get such a great flush with so little water. Now I know that you must hold handle down a bit longer to empty the tank to flush bigger amounts. the problem was not the toilet it was because I have a long horizontal run to the cesspool witch required more water. My own fault, I never noticed instructions to hold down handle a bit. Now that the problem is solved I can,t rave enough about this product September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Never thought I'd say "I love my new toilet" as often as I've been saying it lately. (If I get the $100 water-savings rebate then this will REALLY have been an economic purchase, but even without it, under $200 for this toilet is, I feel a good bargain). I replaced a twenty or thirty year old toilet which had gotten clogged with enough mineral deposits that it flushed poorly, rarely fully emptying the bowl, even though it used a LOT of water. This new toilet uses VERY little water and even though they don't promote this as a feature, it sort-of has a dual flush option; if you lightly push down the handle it does a minimal flush that clears the bowl of liquid, and if you push the handle down and hold it for just a moment, you get a full, complete flush. So it's a dual-flush toilet for much less than you'd normally pay. Installation was a snap; in my case any toilet installation is going to be challenging because the drain hole sits unusually deep below the surface of the floor, so I had to purchase an additional, double-width wax ring (and longer mounting screws) to make this work, but that's because of my home, not anything Koehler. The extra two inches of bowl height took about a moment to get used to --- it's SO much better than "standard" height, and the included toilet seat is high-quality and very comfortable. Anyway, bottom line --- I really love my new toilet! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kohler, can't go wrong.. Other than the shipping, 18 days a bit much.. Everything went fine... May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Plumber recommended product. Bigger outflow outlet. Works great. Home Depot associate very very helpful. Had to single handedly retrieve the item from top shelf of the bay. Great job! September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very satisfied I bought this 4 months ago and waited to write this review. I highly recommend the higher seat it is so much more comfortable. I had the toilet installed by a profesional and he suggested installing a better seal for $20 which I did. I really like the flush, and that the toilet uses less water. And on occasion, I simply hold down the flusher a second longer to increase the amount of water if there is more to be flushed. I have read other reviews and never had an issue with poor flushing or need for more frequent cleaning. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend for the price and value. . July 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Excellent product, only shortcoming is cheap toilet seat. Last month I also purchased a Delta commode from Home Depot. It requires additional cleaning after every BM. Liquids do fine. It has much less water in the bowl than Koehlers and attribute that to the performance of both commodes. I don't see the Delta commode still listed at Home Depot and certainly understand why. August 31, 2016
