After converting my two toilets to dual flush toilets, and being very disappointed I knew I had to do something different. On a recent trip to My In-Laws my wife saw the toilet that her Mother had installed during the remodel of the bathroom. She really liked the toilet so we found out the name and model and started looking for the toilet on the Home Depot web site for Home Depot stores that stocked it near us. The nearest store that stocked the toilet was 2 hours away. Well, what the wife want, the wife gets. The install was pretty straight forward, just like any other toilet. It looks great and the dual flush has worked flawlessly. The only thing I didn't realize I would need is a longer supply line because the toilet is a comfort height and the one I replaced was not. Next month I will be buying another one to replace my second toilet.

Installation was straight forward and the dual flush feature is the ebest thing about this toilet. No problems in getting the job done in either mode.

Installation of this toilet is straightforward except that I had to use a couple of toilet shims at the back to eliminate rocking of the bowel. Product seems to be of acceptable quality. One thing we didn’t do was wipe the preservative junk from the throat on the top of bowl. Consequently we had to live with bits of black, blue and green gunk in the bowel after each flush for about a week. We found that the water level in the bowel was half an inch lower then spec. The level should be 5 3/8” from the water to the rim of the bowl. The low level was caused by a crimped refill tube in the tank straight out of the box. The fix was to cut the refill tube (see photos) and reattach it. If you have a tile floor, the chances are that the included wax ring will not give you a seal. I suggest spending a small sum for a thick wax ring stocked by Home Depot. We didn’t think much of the plastic seat either so we replaced it with a Kohler elongated wood seat.

I had in an earlier review said that this toilet worked badly and I couldn't get good support from Kohler. (I gave it 1 star) I found out that the problem with my toilet was the installer. He had left the adjustment to allow for inadequate water flow hence poor performance. I hired a plumber to see what he could do. Kohler thought that maybe the vent was bad or there was a clog on the sewer. The plumber had experience with this toilet and saw right away that there wasn't enough water flow. I've had no further problems since. Knock on wood. Home Depot reimbursed my plumber charge since their installation was not up to snuff. Their "plumber" only understood how to hook it up but not to adjust it. A bit of advice: The Korky Beehive Max plunger seems to seal to the bottom of the bowl well. If you need to plunge try this. Normal plungers can't seal to the key hole shaped outlet.
BE SURE TO GET THE LITERATURE THAT COMES WITH THE TOILET. ADJUSTMENT AND PARTS ID ARE THERE.

From first "flush" I could see that this toilet worked well, even on the low-flush level. The only drawback is the wax ring without the flange, like the "anti-seep" rings. I bought an "anti-seep" ring instead. The only problem with swapping them is that the "anti-seep" wax ring is not as deep. I should have cut part of the original ring off and added it to the "anti-seep" one. Hopefully, the one I put in has enough depth to do the job.
Overall, this is a great toilet at a great price. I replaced a Kohler Wellworth, which had been going downhill. I still have another Wellworth that is working great. I think this Highline is even better. Kohler is a great brand.

Did my homework on the dual flush toilets and ended up with the kohler. I have found that the number one flush is adequate for most applications however will use the number two flush for water volume to avoid any clogging. All toilets install easily as there are only two bolts holding them down. Would recommend that you get a couple of different size supply lines as they can be returned if not used, also a second set of hands is always helpful as toilets are a bit on the heavy side. It looks great and works great so far and I am pleased with my new throne.

For the money, I think we got the best toilet. It works fantastic and was very easy to put together and install. We bought two of them at the same time and I had the old ones removed, the new ones put together and installed, in less than two hours. And I HATE plumbing!

I must admit I was skeptical of getting one because I have had problems installing toilets in the past. LImited knowledge of doing it. I was having a contractor do other work that day and I had it already at home but not installed. He said he would do it for me for a GOOD price. I said YES! At my age (over 70) my back is NOT as good as before. I observed him doing the installation and it went MUCH smoother than ever expected. Even he said that, I'd say not including draining the water from the old one and removing it, maybe under an hour for everything, no leaks and no adjustments needed either. So far so good.
