I am on the fence on this one because we installed two of them in a granite-topped double vanity and one of them mysteriously got a crazy spiraling crack all the way through it while we were away on vacation. It had been in place for three years. It is beautiful and heavy but it is still glass so just beware of the fact that it can break...even without any contact. I have contacted Kohler about it... will let you know what they say if I get a response. In any case I will have to buy a replacement since it's mate it sitting right next to it!

Pretty glass but it looks dark and grey when installed. Other reviews have said it is pretty when underlit. Also, the description said that the glass obstructs the objects below but it only slightly obstructs and you can see shapes and colors beneath the sink. I was hoping it would be bright and sparkling.

Beautiful sink, pictures don't do it justice. We have plain white counter top but I think this would look amazing with a grey granite countertop. Easy to follow instructions and easy to install but it took both of us to do it. We could see the shape of items below the sink so we tacked up white fabric to create like a hammock beneath it. It would look cool with a light under it too. Very expensive, but it looks amazing. Easy to clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Autobroker A work of art!
I am very happy with this sink bowl, if you can call it that. The reason I say this is because it's more a beautiful work of art than just a sink bowl.
The entire bowl is made of glass - it's nice and thick! A pattern is molded in the glass and there's a sturdy rim to mount the bowl under the counter. The drain is right in the center of the bowl, which is different than the old sink bowl we pulled out.
The look is stunning! It makes our bathroom look like it's from a super high end custom house. I've never seen one installed, until we put ours in.
The only thing we noticed is that the sink drains slower than the old one. There is no vent to release the vacuum caused by the water draining, so the water goes down slower.
For the beautiful look, I'll take the slight inconvenience of a slow drain any day.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jonjon1 Stylish, rich looking sink
This is a really beautiful sink that makes the bathroom much more stylish and rich looking! It is excellent quality, well made material. Thick and heavy. Easy to install, but on the heavy side. It also is darker once installed because there is no light under the sink to lighten up the glass. Has a smooth finish that is easy to wipe clean. Underneath is a cut glass pattern.

I wasn't sure I'd love this sink, but once I saw it in person I'm really impressed. It's heavy and thick and catches the light in a really cool way. Very nice.

The pictures don't do this justice. The glass is thick and heavy, and the facets stand out and give it a wonderful sparkle. The glass is completely clear, not frosted. However due to the texture, you can't quite see directly through it - it's much like the 'privacy' type glass shower doors. There are no sharp edges. The drain hole was ground to a fine finish, very high quality.
I installed this in a custom vanity top (blank) and cut the hole myself. The nice thing about a round hole is that it is far easier to cut, and you can use a radius tool to get a perfect circle. The bowl mounted right up with no problem; I used clear silicone for the seal. This is a no-vent bowl, so you need a non-overflow drain. I used a Kohler K-7108-SN Non-Overflow, which is a designer type drain; you can get these from Home Depot. It matches nicely.
The one unexpected thing is that you can see through the bowl, so you can see the plumbing and all the stuff you have stored inside. And if your vanity is dark wood like mine, the bowl appears dark too. I didn't like that, so put a simple translucent white plastic baffle underneath the bowl, and it made a huge difference - really brightened it up.
As for functionality, it performs as any good basin. It drains well, there were no standing water issues. I had no leaks of any kind around the drain. Since it is solid glass, there's no porcelain to chip or crack, and it should not ever stain. I'm expecting that this should last a long time.
This definitely beats the plain white sink for looks, and really adds elegance to the bathroom.
