Rated 5 out of 5Â by AnnW Second Purchase of This Sink - We Love It!
We love the "Smart Divide" Kohler sink. This is our 2nd purchase of this model for a kitchen rennovation. The white finish holds up extremely well in everyday use. We love being able to wash large pans in the double sink without having to hassle with the traditional dividing wall. The price at Home Depot was the best I found anywhere on the internet and with free shipping it was a no brainer since the sink is VERY heavy.

I am furious that my brand new installed sink has a large dent in the "smart" divider. I think this is the structural weak point of the sink. one should be able to drop a pot and not destroy the sink. That's why I bought a cast-iron sink -- for durability. I am most disappointed. I spent 10 hours installing this thing and now I am going to have to rip it out again.

The first sink shipped had a large chip in it. The replacement is great. We love the design with the low divider.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Alpineman Great Product!
This is a great sink. I am rebuilding my kitchen and I chose the cast iron over a composite or an aluminum sink. I've heard that they both scratch easily. Not so with this guy. It is a bit large for my kitchen. I had limited space to work with but it still works for me.
The five holes also work well. I have filtered water through my refrigerator but I also have a charcoal/sediment filter under my sink. I use that nozzle on the right when I fill my pots with cooking water. I have a soap dispenser on the left and the water spout and sprayer in the middle.
The sink cleans up with just soap and water, has deep wells, and a lower center divider.
The original sink was an old cast iron job and I had to use Ajax or some abrasive to clean it up. It was a bit smaller and I had limited space to work the sink into the new dimension for the kitchen but it's still a great product. I get a lot of compliments from my neighbors too.
The drop-in arrangement works well. It's heavy so get a friend to help you drop it in place unless you are 6' 6" and weigh 240. No regrets so far.
The finish is guaranteed for life. I cleaned the cast iron grills from my stove in the sink and the next day I thought I chipped the surface. It turned out to be a grease spot. The finish seems to be rugged or they would not offer that lifetime warranty.
It's just a good looking, solid, easy to clean sink at the right price.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Pete Looks great but disappointed with the quality
EXTREMELY expensive when you throw in the freight cost ($750 +), but it was the sink we wanted so we ate it. Based on that I was disappointed that this self-rimming sink doesn't sit flush on the counter top. I was able to support the back end to keep it from rocking and caulk the snot out of it. I'm the only one who knows and it looks nice but for what I paid it should have been PERFECT. Unfortunately the defect can only be discovered once you've ripped out the old sink. At that point it is either press on or live without a kitchen sink for a week or more while a new one is shipped.
