Can I use bolts from existing kohler seat?.

This question is from Lustra Elongated Closed-Front Toilet Seat in Mexican Sand
Asked by
Liz
January 4, 2013
I'm replacing a 10yr old kohler seat that cracked. I like the Q-tech non-slamming idea, but I hear the bolts are horrible. Can I use my existing bolts? And is the luster any better than French model?

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. We would not recommend using your existing bolts, rather use what comes with the seat to ensure proper installation. Both the Lustra and the French are plastic toilet seats so it's a personal preference to you the customer as to what you like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right! Was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find a matching toilet seat (have an Innocent Blush toilet purchased in 2002) and this seat is a perfect match!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, Solid Seat Upgrade for Elongated Toilets I bought three of these for my Kohler Cimarron toilets after realizing that they didn't come with seats. I've since replaced one of the Cimarrons with a Kohler Wellworth and replaced the seat that came with the Wellworth with the Lustra. The Lustra is a much better seat, being more solid. It also doesn't move around like the basic seat. The seat fits both the Cimarrons and the Wellworth elongated toilets. I highly recommend this seat over the basic plastic seat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Koehler elongated toilet seat Determining the right Kohler toilet did ask if thtoilet was one piece or two piece toilet. This seat fits ok but is not the write one.
Date published: 2015-09-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toilet seat The color matched old toilet perfectly, fits well, was relatively easy to install and does what is expected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why did I have to buy a toilet seat?? I guess as far as toilet seats go this one does what it is supposed to do. I should not have had to buy a separate seat when I bought the toilet. Shouldn't toilets come with seats?! This one is expensive ($50?!) and it feels like cheap plastic. I would have taken it back except you have to have the seat to use the toilet and I figured all Kohler toilet seats would be expensive. I was afraid another brand wouldn't fit.
