I've read all the notes about tightening the handle. I pushed the handle all the way up and still don't see or feel a set screw. Is it new the surface as my allen wrench goes back a good 1/2' before it hits anything.
Any tips appreciated. Also, I saw one bulletin about a repair kit....anyone know how to get that?

I was having a lot of trouble finding the set screw also. I had to angle the allen wrench upward and back and then I felt the 3/32 wrench find a hole. I was about to give up, but tried one more time. Good luck. It makes the handle steady, and I love the looks so I am very happy.

My update - I received the "fix kit"for the handle but I cannot find the set screw in the old handle to begin the replacement :(
I've moved the handle up, down and back and forth. It is nowhere to be found in the access hole.
I guess I will have to pay someone to help.

I think the company is very aware of this issue as there have been many complaints about the setscrew issue. If It were me, i would contact Kohler directly as they will solve this issue and possibly replace or upgrade. You never know until you contact them as it became very annoying having this issue as you pose the issue of lost of the screw down the drain.

I went through this experience first hand. However, I called the Kohler customer service and they were able to send me a redesigned handle for free. The problem was on the female thread on the original handle. The old handle will not stay in place without the allen screw. The new redesigned handle does not need the allen screw to remain in place.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 106 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good! Recently I purchased a new single bowl composite sink and I needed to buy a new faucet for it so I went to Home Depot to see if they had anything I liked. Right off the bat this KOHLER stuck out so I picked it up and brought it home. Later that evening I decided to go to HomeDepot.com and see what the reviews on this Mazz faucet were like.....THEY WERE HORRIBLE! I called KOHLER the next day and the lady I spoke to assured me that I had the revised version of the Mazz and I had nothing to worry about. However she also said that if I would prefer she would also send me a new handle anyways. I wanted it just in case so she sent it to me. Meanwhile I installed my new 33x22 single bowl composite sink and the Vibrant Stainless Mazz and I have had this set up and running for several days now and the Mazz works perfectly! I will say that the Sweep Spray is nice but its taking some getting used to as I am very much used to using a regular more circular type of sprayer, but its not a big deal I know that it will grow on me. Anyhow so far I give this Mazz a solid 5 stars across the board! (oh, one other thing, after using the weight a few days and listening to it clunk its way up in the tight quarters below my sink every time I needed to pull out the sprayer I decided to take it off and now the sprayer stays pulled out when I let go, and this is what I need! ;-) :-) August 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aesthetically beautiful, but lacking in temperature control functionality We love the design and it is a high quality product, except for the temperature control. It takes getting used to the side valve, and it is hard to dial in an in-between (warm) temperature at lower water pressure. Also, because of the height of the faucet opening, it tends to be a lot more splashy around the sink area. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Essy to install Excellent water pressure . 1 hourinstallation Great price August 31, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Handle problem still not fixed. If you read the reviews you will see that there is major problem with the handle coming loose. While Sarah from Kohler will reply that there is fix and just contact Kohler, the faucet I bought a few months ago still has the problem. Sarah - rather than cause your customers a whole bunch of frustration with the problem and then having us return the faucet to Home Depot or Google a solution, why not recall the defective stock and correct it rather than leaving it on the shelf. Alternatively, send the correct replacement parts to all Home Depots with stock so that the consumer has the correct part from the get-go. You are lucky I stumble across the fact that you have a fix before I returned the faucet and you lost me as a Kohler customer. August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best faucet I've ever owned!!! This faucet is very well put together, easily installed and looks amazing. I was skeptical of having the tall faucet, but after installing it was very pleasantly surprised at how well it looks. Having the soap dispenser attached to the sink verses having a separate container of soap that may spill if knocked over. So far I have not a single complaint about this faucet August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kudos Kohler! I bought this faucet a little over a year ago. I soon experienced the lose handle syndrome that many complained about. It was very frustrating to be sure. It was difficult to reach the set screw to retighten the handle every few weeks. At the time I wrote a review which said "Kohler you can do better". Luckily for me, I decided to check back in on this site and found that Kohler had indeed fixed the issue, and was standing behind their product with a redesign they offered to those of us who had the issue for free. I called kohler Customer last Monday and the new handle and parts arrived on Saturday - no charge. I just installed the fix and the it is an excellent redesign - and, I am a happy customer again. Thank you Kohler! By the way, before I knew about the fix, I had already made up my mind to replace the faucet, with another Kohler model, as I know they are a great company.. July 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality faucet with smooth handling This moves smoothly and the handle adjusts easily. We like the more modern, clean look of it. It has a interesting spray pattern. Our handyman had it replaced quickly. Although it comes with the soap dispenser, we are not using it. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kohler Redesigned the Handle I haven't had any issues with the handle since I've had it and it seems to be fixed on there pretty good. Many people in the past had major issues with the handle coming loose. Kohler has since redesigned the handle. Before installing you could always call Kohler customer service and make sure the serial number that you have includes the new redesigned handle. Its a shame that people might be hesitant to buy such a stylish faucet because of the handle issues. If you really like the faucet, I would call Kohler and talk to them. They have good customer service. I had an experienced plumber install the faucet. He stated that it was easy to install and was made up of good dependable materials and components. I chose the stainless steel color. I really like the color much better than the extremely shiny chrome. The stainless steel model does show finger prints somewhat, but it is not too bad. The handle does operate the opposite of what you are used to. I made a video showing what I am talking about. To turn the water on, you push in. To turn it off, you pull it out. The pull down spray also does a good job and is decently powerful for clean-up. Overall, I really like the unique look of this faucet. It compliments any kitchen design. December 21, 2015
