We haven't used it yet because the bathroom is not yet finished but everyone in the family is just waiting to get in it. It fits in the same space as the tub it replaced, but it is roomier - wider in the tub. It's beautiful and just what I wanted. Two men were able to get it into the house and position it - and I never heard cursing. I'll be buying another for the next bathroom to be remodeled in the next week, so you can probably tell I really like this tub.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nancy Good functionality and design for a tub/shower combo
We wanted to obtain a deep bathtub that we could use in our master bathroom as a tub/shower combo. One of our parameters was the ease of being able to step into the bathtub - this fit the bill. Comfort for bathing was another quality we were looking for in a tub and this is a comfortable tub. And last but not least was durability and that is why we chose cast iron. One word of caution when purchasing this tub! You must look the bathtub over carefully for defects. The cast iron in some places was thin on my bathtub and that concerned me as this is a big investment. It is very difficult to see these imperfections, but you can feel them. The cast iron was actually coming through the porcelain. Take the time to thoroughly inspect it before accepting delivery!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bahlmann solid, roomy, lasting, classic styling
With so much new construction going mostly with plastic bathroom fixtures these days, there are still a few of us around who place trust in time tested materials like "Cast Iron". This tub is deeper than your average tub, extremely sold, and if it ever gets deeply scratched, you can always refinish it. This is the second one of these tubs I've bought - what can I say beyond - it is a great tub with classic styling. Back is very comfortable to lay down in even if you are over 6 feet tall.
My plumber seemed surprised to see the cast iron tub (geez, what is that tub, cast iron?), but made short work of leveling and connecting it all up. Once finished, his parting comments were classic, "It is so nice to work with quality constructed fixtures - that tub will last a lifetime."

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by babs great tub!
Purchased this for update to our master bath. Although it was heavy, we decided to go with cast iron for the durability.
The width and depth make it great for soaking and it has space at the corners for candles, soaps, etc. It is very easy to clean and one of the best aspects is that we don't need a bath mat for showering, since it comes with a non-slip pattern built into the bottom.
Wouldn't advise putting this in yourself.
The contractor installed it -took 3 guys and extra floor support.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Connie High quality soaker tub
This tub was perfect for what we were looking for: a high-quality cast iron soaker tub that held heat for long baths without the bother and maintenance of a heater.
I found it amusing that once the tub was installed, every member of our family started taking baths -- even those who claimed never to like baths!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bdavis A plumber installed the tub, but it went in quite nicely
So far, so good. I've used it in the master bathroom as a tub/shower combo. Although it only has an 11 inch water depth, I found that is about as deep as you can go with a cast iron tub without it being a soaker or clawfoot. It's a gorgeous tub and cleans easily.
