Product Overview

Featuring the elegant architectural look of the Memoirs collection with Stately design, this two-piece toilet combines water-saving flush performance with traditional style. A high-efficiency 1.28-gallon flush offers up to 16,500 gallons of water savings per year, compared to a 3.5-gallon toilet, without compromising flush power. The elongated bowl is positioned at a convenient height for comfort and ease of use.

  • Two-piece toilet
  • Elongated bowl offers added room and comfort
  • Comfort Height feature offers chair-height seating that makes sitting down and standing up easier for most adults
  • 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf)
  • Standard left-hand Polished Chrome trip lever included
  • Seat not included
  • Combination consists of the K-4380 bowl and the K-4434 tank
  • Coordinates with other products in the Memoirs collection
  • Single-flush gravity uses the force of gravity and a precision-engineered tank, bowl, and trapway to create a strong siphon during flushing
  • AquaPiston canister allows water to flow into the bowl from all sides (360 degrees), increasing the power and effectiveness of the flush
  • Flush valve's 3: 2 ratio harnesses the natural force of gravity and optimizes flush performance
  • Durable canister design has 90% less exposed seal material than a 3 in. flapper, for leak-free performance
  • Light-touch canister flush requires a lower actuation force than a flapper
  • Standard 12 in. rough-in
  • Three-bolt installation
  • WaterSense toilets meet strict EPA flushing guidelines, including using at least 20 percent less water than 1.6-gallon toilets

  • Features to consider when buying a toilet
  • Eligible for consumer rebates in some municipalities.

Customer Questions & Answers

I am replacing an old toilet. How do I tell if this toilet will fit in the same space?

Asked by: OldHouseNut
The distance from the two mounting holes in the base of the toilet to the wall behind the toilet tank needs to be 12". If it is less the discharge from the toilet bowl and the mounting bracket on the floor may not line up and would result in leakage on the floor.

I have a round toilet. Can I put in an elongated toilet?

Asked by: stubby
It will lap over the front of the bowl. I would not do it!

Asked by: Anonymous
The one I purchased from Home Depot did NOT have a toilet seat or a wax ring. Don't know if that is standard for all toilets sold by Home Depot or not. Be sure to ask the sales person.

First one was a 1.6 gal flush and my more recent purchase was a 1.28 gal flush model. The 1.6 gal flush model continues to function perfectly. However, the 1.28 gal model has developed problems with the float valve. The water continues to run and it is particularly noticeable at night. The float valve does not shut off and I cannot determine how to adjust the float mechanism. I flushed the valve (twice) per mfg recommendations but the float still does not always apply enough pressure to completely shut off the water reliably. The float valve has to be manually lifted until the refilling water flow ceases and it then remains in the off position.

If you can can get one that's not broken on the way to the store or your home, then it's a great toilet! I replaced all three toilets in my house with this and it looks great. It was very difficult and time consuming to get done though. One of the toilet tanks arrived cracked and it led to the store reordering the tank multiple times. 3 broken tanks later, I finally got a good one! Kohler and Home Depot need to work on better packaging techniques... If you can stand the possibility of returning it at least a couple times before getting an intact toilet, then I'd definitely recommend the toilet itself!

I would recommend unpacking and looking at what is in the plastic bags in the way of bolts, washers; and buying quality versions of those parts (they are junk). It will save you a headache later. Also, we were told in the store that it wouldn't wobble on uneven surface (Hence why we bought a toilet 3 times the price of the another one). So, this turned out to be a lie: Our floor is tile and it's more wobbly than before. I would not recommend this product for a bathroom with any sort of texture on the tiling even if it's minimal. I guess if you have slightly uneven marble floors in your bathroom, this might be an option.

I loved the look of this toilet and the idea of saving water BUT this toilet gets plugged up all the time and spills water all over the floor when using a plunger. After only one year I have to replace the interior mechanism. The toilet runs constantly costing me water instead of saving it and now I get to replace the interior mechanism, costing me even more. Unfortunately, I purchased two of these. So much for upgrading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be weary of toilet bowls that stick out PAST the seat!! They look lovely, and are comfortable... until you have 'boys' in the house...that dribble on the edge of the bowl... With normal toilets; the SEAT hides/covers the dribble, you don't notice it until you lift the seat... But with this type of 'seat-fitting' style... (the seat is designed slightly smaller than the bowl) for who ever SITS on the seat, (especially little girls, or short ppl, or those with normal 'thigh fat')...their leg skin is then TOUCHING the dribble! I find it disgusting, and a very disappointing design flaw for very expensive toilets! With males in the house, I find myself having to CLEAN the rim every time I want to sit down! (I currently have a Bemis) I have yet to find a seat that doesn't cause this. MAKE SURE YOU FIT A SEAT ON IT IN STORE BEFORE YOU BUY. You do NOT want one that fits like in the photo. Gee, how 'convenient' that they do not include a seat...? Ridiculous.

This was not discovered until weeks after delivery because of the renovation. When the plumber opened the boxes in the garage, he found the broken toilets. Today, I tried to get a credit at my local Home Depot store and was told they could not credit my card. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars at Home Depot throughout the years. I find this lack of service to be quite objectionable. I also tried to return towel bars and faucets. The faucets were only the trim and not "the guts" necessary to connect them. The store did not carry the necessary pieces. The towel bars no longer matched the new faucets that I bought elsewhere. In conclusion, if I had know that the customer service at the store could not help me with obtaining credit, I would not have ordered on line. I would appreciate help from customer service at Home Depot.com.
