Questions & Answers

Is this the correct frame for a Tahoe sink model k-2840-4?

Asked by: Wally
The K6688 ring will fit the Tahoe K2890-4-0 sink perfectly. Im not sure if the number K2840-4 is the same as what i purchased. Hope that helps.

This was an exact replacement of what we had and originally thought about using the old frame but glad we chose to spend the money to get the new one as it is more of a brushed finish which was better.

This was an exact fit with the former 55yr old sink. The newer ring has tabs that need to be pushed inward, after fitting around the sink, and allow it to be held in place while working underneath to attach the 8 to 10 anchors. This made for an easy install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked OK but tabs seemed a bit flimsy The fit into the old hole was fairly accurate and required no additional hole cutting (replaced a similar sized sink). The punch out tabs were only a single row for a cast iron sink and didn't have a way to adjust for different thicknesses of sink depth but it seemed to work OK. Definitely a two man job dropping it into a countertop due to the weight and caulking requirements. The brackets sometimes didn't catch onto the lip of the metal ring in certain areas so I had to move them left or right a bit along the edge.
