Customer Questions & Answers

What is the difference between the model #K-3654-0 and #K-3723-0?

Asked by: Anonymous
The design of the trapway. I suggest you look at the installation videos for each, and the difference will be obvious. With the K3723, you mount the seperate trapway and wax-ring to the floor flange with conventional t-bolts. This is much more secure and prevents failure of the wax ring.

This toilet is without a toilet seat. Which model number toilet seat would you recommend for this toilet? Also, when the toilet is in place, how does one install the toilet seat when one cannot get to the bolts that fasten it?

Customer Reviews

Persuade 2-piece 0.8 or 1.6 GPF Dual Flush Elongated Toilet in Almond is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this toilet. Poor mounting design causes repeated wax-ring failures I have had this toilet for about 2 years. It looks attractive ad flushes very well, BUT there is a major design flaw. The toilet does not mount to the floor flange at all. Instead, it is only secured to the floor with two plastic brackets at the sides. In the 2 years of service I have had to replace the wax ring at least 4 times. Instead of this toilet, Kohler makes another that looks the same but has a vastly superior design of the trap-way that fastens directly to the floor flange with conventional t-bolts plus a third bolt to the floor. Additionally, it has the plastic brackets securing it to the floor. It is the model K-3723, also available from Home depot and is the same price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have 3 of the Kohler persuade elongated comfort height toilets installed in my home. I am look... I have 3 of the Kohler persuade elongated comfort height toilets installed in my home. I am looking for a toilet seat that has an attached child toilet seat with it. I have been unable to find to find any kohler or aftermarket child seat that would work with this design. I find it very strange that kohler would make a product that has such a design flaw. I have contacted their customer service and will wait for a response from them. I would have to hate to change out my toilets and these are so expensive and plumbers aren't cheap either !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is it possible to love a toilet? If so, then I do! I purchased this unit to replace a 35-year-old one when I remodeled my main bathroom. It is very sturdy and well-built, and uses MUCH less water than the old toilet I replaced. The flat porcelain makes it very easy to clean (no scrolling on the sides), which certainly makes cleaning less of a chore. :) The smaller tank and base make it a bit more compact also, so it frees up a bit of space, which was a big issue for this bathroom remodel. The only drawback was finding no toilet seat included. It had to be purchased separately. Otherwise, great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toilet with dual flush but need to let consumer know that toilet seat need to be order at the same time. I ordered this toilet for the half bath understairs. I like the fact that dual flush will save water, and I also like the look of it plus less cleaning behind since the bowl tapered down smoothly without all the usual hard to clean corners. It would help greatly if the local Home Depot carries this item because the $50 shipping charge is quite expensive, and also the description did not mention the fact that the toilet seat should be ordered at the same time because now I have to figure that one out. Until then only the boys can use the toilet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Second Persuade 2-Piece Toilet This is our second Persuade toilet we purchased through Home Depot. Last year we bought a black one for our guest bathroom on our mail level. The installation was not easy with that one, but this year we purchased another one, only white this time for our kids bathroom. Kohler made some great improvements to make it much easier to install. I also used a YouTube video to help me review the installation process. The toilet is designed to be easy to clean and it is by having a smooth surface on the sides rather than showing the plumbing. Saving water is a nice feature and you need not fear that it won't flush all the contents down the drain. No problems with it's powerful flushing action. I have one more bathroom to remodel, and I will change out the toilet for this one also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great look... LOTS of problems PRO- I loved the sleek look of this toilet...that's about it! Uses less water CON- 1) I had to redesign the wall behind this toilet as the tank sits right against the wall and would not allow for tiles to install behind - ended up having to paint. 2) At this price, it does not come with a toilet seat. 3) I had to relocate the water supply line as the lowers back of the toilet would not allow the "turn off" valve to work properly without scraping the side of the bottom structure. 4) A slow flushing system and takes a couple of flushes to wash down waste. 5) Bowl has little water in the bowl, so paper and waste tend to stick to bowl...more cleaning than my old bowls.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Toilet I have Ever Owned My wife and I had a new home built two years ago and had the Kohler Persuade Comfort Height Dual Flush Toilet installed in the master bathroom. It is without a doubt the worst toilet we have ever owned. It flushes solids fine but does not flush toilet paper properly. It usually takes two flushes, sometimes three to get the toilet paper to go. It is so bad that we are planning to replace it in the next few months. By the way, the other two bathrooms in our home are Standard Height Dual Flush Sterling’s that work perfectly and were about half the price of the Kohler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bathroom Remodel I used one of these toilets in each of my two recent bathroom remodels. I really like the skirted design and the dual flush. I had read some other reviews that complained about the difficulty of mounting them to the floor. If you have a hammer drill, and know how to use it, there is nothing to worry about! I actually found it easier to mount these because I wasn't worried about snapping off the flange by over tightening the bolts. You can get cheaper toilets but if you want to add some style to you bathrooms, skirted is the way to go! Whomever is in charge of cleaning your bathrooms will thank you!
