which of the buttons is for going #1?

Asked by: Anonymous
Generally, the smaller button is for less water, and is for flushing #1. Sometimes I have seen the buttons nested, like a moon with a crescent on one side. The crescent would be the smaller button in this case.

I had originally installed the Kohler #3654 Persuade Toilet, which looks almost identical, but, after a year of service and the need to repeatedly replace the wax ring, I determined the design was defective, inasmuch as it allowed too much movement of the bowl at the wax ring. After researching, I found that both the #3723 and #3753 had vastly superior designs with a separate waste-way that is fastened directly to the flange and floor, preventing the loss of seal at the wax ring. I was unhappy that I had to replace the original toilet, but I am much happier with it's replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just remember valves wear out! I purchased this toilet and installed it today. I am currently happy. I Give it a 3 star simply because the toilet doesn't use the standard fluid master flush valve which costs about $12 to replace. In the event the flush valve on this toilet wears out in 3 -5 years (like they do) one can either pay the $200 part replacement price for a new flush valve specific to this toilet or replace the toilet. I love Kohler products and have nothing negative to say about the toilet. I just wish they would either inform the customer of the expense down the road or stick with a standard valve that is inexpensive to replace.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The toilet delivery Product arrived broken first time. Returned to where house . Second toilet arrived without the top. I had hired plumber to install and had to pay for another top that he picked up at a plumbing supply store. Need I say more. Received a credit if 20$ for the toilet seat. Since plumber had set bowl and I was told it would take two weeks to get another top through home depot. This will be the last time I use Home Depot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Persuade flush valve - flawed The flush valve mechanism is flawed. I've been through a couple replacements of the innards already to no avail. There's a steady internal leak. The parts are hard to find, and I've now found reviews saying that plumbers avoid installing this thing -- it's complicated and doesn't let you get to the back of the unit for repairs. I would not buy another kohler. the Gerber 1.6 gallon is actually more efficient because it doesn't leak and has a reliable flush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The look of the toilet is great, however, its functionality is sub-par. We've installed 2 of these three months ago. Both usually require 2+ flushes to remove all waste (including toilet paper). Since the bowl holds very little water, we often find ourselves (not meaning to sound gross) having to physically wipe solid waste off the insides of the bowl with toilet paper due to the lack of standing water. The price paid for these commodes was not worth it. No quality here.
