We have 2 of these faucet assemblies in our 2 kitchen sinks, about 15 years now. The brass is corroded on one faucet and looks terrible. Same happened to the other faucet, which had to be replaced after 7-10 years when the faucet snapped in two pieces (no violent impact- just simple everyday twisting of faucet. In fact, 2nd sink, where faucet broke, rarely used except for washing summer vegetables). After much haggling with Kohler sales, they gave us a discount to replace warranted product, but we still paid about $250 to replace.

This was a replacement for a fifteen year old "identical" Kohler faucet. We purchased this unit because it was a four hole faucet in polished brass - polished brass fixtures are currently out of style. Where the original fixture was brass the current product is brass and plastic. Both were represented to be 9" goose necks but the replacement faucet water flow into the sink is 1 1/2 - 2" shorter than the old one. Obviously one of them was not a 9" goose neck. One last comment if this faucet or for that matter any Kohler faucet is to be installed in tight quarters - good luck. The under counter mounting is accomplished via an oval shaped nut. Impossible to use in tight quarters. I used a combination of the old brass hex nuts from the original unit and new nuts scrounged from a plumbing supply house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by palace5 Gorgeous faucet but disappointing spray
Item arrived quickly. Faucet and handles are solid and finish is beautiful. The spray arm however , is completely made from plastic and flimsy. I kept the item as we were in need of a faucet and maybe somewhere in the description, it is stated the sprayer is plastic, but I am disappointed in Kohler for using low grade materials.

We are very pleased with the simplicity of the design and the elegance it conveys in our kitchen. The facuet and handles feel solid to the touch and are sized to accommodate both my husbands large hands and my fairly small hands. Our only complaint is the sprayer that comes with this set. I would have otherwise rated this 5 stars ecxcept for the sprayer. It feels cheap and the worst part is where the very sensitive button is situated on the handle to spray the water. Frequently I find myself getting sprayed or the floor or the wall by an errant movement or when in haste. Buyer beware.

The solid brass construction is beautiful and it's very well made. There are no drips or leaks and it's easy to clean around the handles. I like the versatility of the swing spout and it's easy to fill large pots. Great product!

Kohler makes great looking products, but they tend to be on the expensive side and the repair parts are harder to track down in Columbus, OH compared to American Standard or Moen. The plumber that installed the faucet mentioned that Kohler products are somewhat more difficult to install than others. Kohler makes a great product when you compare the material they use compared to some others. Our new kitchen faucet looks great and the sprayer is easier to use than the one that was replaced.

The water connections between the supply valves (hot and cold) and the spout involve a plastic tee and plug-in quick connects. There was a leak on the cold side (only when the water is running) that was caused by a defective part. Kohler mailed the replacements and I'll install them this weekend. This is especially inconvenient because the originals were attached before the sink was installed. The replacements have to be done from under the sink.
