Great toilet! Have others like it in home. Only this one came with a slight problem, otherwise would have been excellent quality. Flapper wouldn't float on water long enough to fully flush. Had different type of flapper than others in home. Replaced flapper, no problems. Love the low profile.

We purchased this toilet in 2006 for a small bathroom in our 1930 house. It fit well, and looks great. Within a couple of years, a valve in it started clogging up regularly. Every couple of months (or when the toilet stops flushing properly) we remove the tank lid and flush this valve by hand (Kohler gave us directions over the phone). It's a nuisance. The toilet seat has worked loose and shifts and is noisy. The toilet sprays water during refilling of the tank. This water appears outside of the toilet- running down the front of the tank and wetting the adjacent wall. To stop the spraying, we turned down the water pressure. Now the toilet refills at a very slow rate. About a month ago, it started running after a flush unless you give the handle a sharp jiggle at the end of the fill cycle. To prevent the running and waste of water, one must hang around until the tank has slowly refilled. It's so exasperating!
Why does a toilet that looks this great and has good flushing power have such cheap plastic parts that it repeatedly malfunctions over 9 years of use? Older toilets used to work for decades before problems developed.

I've had this toilet for 2+ years now. It has NEVER flushed completely, nor has the flapper sealed up completely. The ! piece design looks very nice except when you go to change the toilet seat. The seat is anchored into the porcelain with something similar to wall anchors and then the screws go into the anchor as such. Well after a year or so the "gunk" corrodes the screw to the point where when you go to remove it, the anchor just spins! But thats OK, because when you call the manufacturer up, they tell you they're aware of the problem and offer to sell you their special tool, for 45 DOLLARS!! which is nothing but a piece of stamped spring metal... that doesnt work. And you wont be satisfied that it doesnt work until you scratch up the glazing on the porcelain.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK

This is a great looking compact low profile toilet. It looks to be very wide, but that's just the way it is designed. The sides of the top rim do not hourglass inward around the bowl like most toilets do, but rather extend in straight lines from front to back. This makes the toilet look wider than it actually is. Make sure that you carefully check the measurements of any toilet before you buy it. I bought this toilet because I needed one that didn't stick out too far in order to allow clearance for a door swing. The only thing slightly negative thing I can say is that self installation is tricky because you can't see the bolt holes while you are holding the toilet to set it into place. It is recommended to have someone else help you spot it over the bolts before you set it down so that you won't damage your wax seal.

At first, I was going to buy a 2-piece American Standard toilet but then I saw the Kohler "Rialto" toilet in Almond and knew that I had to have it. The color matched perfectly. Its a one piece toilet, in my opinion, they are the new "it" toilets. Its so small and cute and makes my new bathroom even more spacious. After this I refuse to get a big bulky 2 piece toilet. It flushes great, uses less water and its quiet. I love my new toilet!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by geedee Perfect for small (or normal) space!!
Some reviews indicated some glitches with this toilet, but for me it is perfect. I have a small bathroom in a 35 year old condo bldg. A 29" long toilet would not allow me to open the bathroom door! This was A+. The trick is when you go to flush, just touch the handle, do NOT hold it down not even for a few seconds. By the way I live on the 8th floor and the water pressure is not too terrific but, no matter, the "flush works fine"

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gary12 JUNK! DO NOT BUY!
I installed two Rialtos awhile back and for the price they are a huge disappointment. The flush mechanism requires that you hold the handle for an exceptionally long time or you do not get a complete flush. When they do flush it is rarely adequate and you have to repeat. Where is the water savings? The flush valves in both toilets have already failed and cost more than $50 to replace. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! YOU WILL BE SORRY!

I bought two of these toilets for small bathrooms. They are compact and look good, but are so weak when they are flushed. Very disappointing considering the price. I have the Santa Rosa model in another bathroom. It is a one-piece, works great, and is less expensive!
