Product Overview

This Rite-Temp pressure-balancing valve works behind the scenes to prevent scalding and freezing for a safe, comfortable water supply. The valve features a high-temperature limit stop and an optimal comfort zone, so you can set a maximum high and then find and maintain your desired water temperature. Additionally, the unit has a diaphragm design that virtually eliminates freeze-ups from contamination and water debris. CPVC adapters are pre-mounted on the valve, no additional adapters are necessary.

  • Screwdriver stops assist in repair, turn off water supply at the valve
  • Back-to-back installation is ideal for unique or high-volume jobs
  • Matching trim for all Kohler faucet lines available
  • Provides anti-scald protection and temperature regulation at flow rates as low as 1.75 gpm; far below federally mandated standards of 2.5 gpm
  • Large internal ports allow quick bath filling
  • Mounting tabs located on rough-in for secure installation option

model # k-304-cx-na. what does cx and na stand for ?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your inquiry. The "CX" indicates two things: 1. 1/2-inch CPVC inlet connections are pre-installed on the valve supply inlets so no additional adapters are required. 2. This valve does not have screwdriver stops to turn the water off at the valve (instead of turning water off for entire room). The K-304-CS-NA (link below) does have the screwdriver stops. The "NA" indicates no finish is applicable (like polished chrome, brushed nickel, etc.), since this is a valve that will not be visible because it is covered by the faucet trim.

Rite-Temp Pressure-Balancing Valve is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kohler: the only way to dispense water. A working knowledge of plumbing and soldering is required. The warranty can't be beat.
