I ordered this over $1000 toilet shipped to my house and it arrived shattered two times in a row after reordering. I have now just given up.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joy Excellent toilet but some drawbacks
I purchased two Kohler San Raphael toilet to replace 25 year old toilets that weren't functioning well and to save water. They are pricey plus I had to pay a plumber $150 to install each toilet. This didn't stop me from then replacing the other two in my house (which were still working) so I now have four. The toilet is high quality and looks beautiful in my bathroom and the comfort height is very nice. The Flushmate technology is powerful and literally sucks everything away. It reminds me of an airplane toilet. Two drawbacks though: 1. Noisy flush but not so much that it prevented me from buying the second pair and 2. It doesn't always flush all the paper so OFTEN requires two flushes. That sort of voids the water saving idea. The great features definitely outweighs the two negatives and would recommend this toilet to anyone searching for a quality, high functioning toilet.

If you need a powerful flushing toilet this one will fit the bill. Very good toilet, unfortunately it comes with a plastic toilet seat. Surprising for a $1000 toilet.

Was replacing a one piece low profile flush assist contemporary toilet with disco'd bladder. Having only a few to choose from, consulted other reviews; many complaining of inability to flush paper (really!) thus requiring 3 flushes and defeating the purpose of 1 low GPF. I concur. Design and strong flush were priorities; as this was for a first floor frequently used guest bath, so I purchased with only moderate expectations. This toilet is long and seemingly higher than my other ADA height models. The design is clean until the seat/lid goes on. Seat is significantly more narrow than the toilet rim, and rather than following the plane of the rim, it has a bend inward creating an uncomfortable ridge to sit on that runs down the back of your thighs. I think this mimicked "falling in" is what makes the toilet seem too high. The lid seems too light for a better quality item, and has a wide beveled edge that looks like a colonial afterthought. Also, there are many contours to the inner lid & seat, so it fights the otherwise clean design and becomes a maintenance issue. Lastly, you can't lean back, as the lid to tank angle is so disproportionately wide, its as if you're on a luge sled. It may need a slight adjustment, but the seat/lid slightly protrudes past the front and is not completely flush and the tank lid teeters slightly like it needs to be set down a bit.
After paying a little over a grand.....there are too many basic oversights making this a disappointment.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by savingh2o Flushes well but loud
This toilet definitely flushes well. Super powerful. The downside is it's really loud. My wife is avoiding using it. I'm considering hanging a set of ear muffs next to the toilet.
I'll use it because 1-gallon/flush was the main goal. It qualified for a rebate from the water company so the net cost was about $625 (still way overpriced but only the low profile toilet works in our bathroom).
The three star rating is the average of 4.5 stars for flushing, 1.5 stars for noise.
