  • Concealed trap-way and low-profile bolt caps facilitate easier cleaning and enhanced design

  • Supply line not included
  • Touchless module projects an electromagnetic field through the top of the tank lid that senses your hand, causing the toilet to flush
  • Single-flush gravity uses the force of gravity and a precision-engineered tank, bowl, and trap-way to create a strong siphon during flushing
  • AquaPiston canister allows water to flow into the bowl from all sides (360°), increasing the power and effectiveness of the flush
  • Flush valve's 3:2 ratio harnesses the natural force of gravity and optimizes flush performance
  • Durable canister design has 90% less exposed seal material than a 3 in. flapper, for leak-free performance
  • Light-touch canister flush requires a lower actuation force than a flapper
  • Touchless only adds three simple steps to installation

San Souci Touchless Comfort Height 1-piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Elongated Toilet with AquaPiston Flush in White is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 24.

We purchased two of them and have had them about two months. The touchless feature is more sanitary, however, I am not sure that it is worth the extra money. It is very sensitive to flush. You need to pass your hand within an inch of the sensor, not just wave over the top of it. IMHO for this amount of money the SSTC should come with a soft-closing lid but it did not. Purchased two American Standard soft-closing lids because they were the best fitting and best looking. Butt overall it's nice.

The toilet seat creaks when you sit on it. Very cheap. KOHLER is supposed to be a good name. NOT!!!!! I need two more toilets for my present remodel. They will NOT be KOHLER products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love our Modern Kohler Toilet LOVE THIS TOILET, most especially the low modern design of it. It looks awesome in our modern bathroom. We liked the first one we bought so much we bought a second for our guest bathroom also. My husband who is a handyman didn't have any problems installing either of them and they both work great. Only drawback is the hand activation mechanism flushes the toilet when wiping the top of the toilet clean. So that wastes water. Maybe there is a way around it that I don't know of. If not, then I probably would prefer the handle over the hand activated. Love the quality, modern design and the price is higher than average but worth it. Thank you for a great product Kohler!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage - Electronic Portion Fails Within 60 Days Hi, I purchased the K-4000 two months ago and now it will not flush except for taking the lid off and flushing it manually. Before the batteries ran-out of power, the toilet flushed on its own - without human intervention. I changed the batteries twice and now the toilet will not flush at all. There is nothing on the tank lid such as tissue boxes, wet wipes or decorations that can cause the sensor to activate. The chain attached is devoid of any slack. There are no metallic or damp items within 10" of the sensor. Steam is not present when the unit activates and venting in the room excellent. The touchless module or tank lid is NOT wet and there is NO condensation causing the sensor to activate. I'm saddened, troubled and disappointed that an expensive toilet could fail so quickly and hope Kohley will rectify the situation immediately. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs work Kohler Nice looking toilet. Took 3 attempts to install, the fancy bolt set up moved twice before I got both lined up properly. Worked nicely at first until moisture trapped under the tank lid starts to cause unnecessary flushing. Kohler took a few weeks to send a fix kit which is basically a foam pad. It worked for a few days and now we are back to ghost flushing running up my water bill. The underside of the tank lid is dripping wet and I am wondering how long before I have mold growing under there. I am a Kohler fan when it comes to sinks and engines but for $700 I am disappointed in this toilet and we are thinking of taking it back to HD.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed It's been almost a year since I bought this toilet and it has been my worse purchase for the price paid (value vs. money). The touchless system worked fine for maybe a little over a month and then it started flushing continuously by itself, non stop. We removed the kit, replaced batteries, put it back and same issues. We tried removing the kit for a day or so and after putting back on it would work well for a few days and same problems would start again until it stopped working. We had to wait a long time for a new kit from Kohler and the new system worked fine for about 2 months just to start with the same issues as the previous one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is not a 'bog standard' toilet I've installed toilets before, and the first thing that struck me about this Kohler toilet was its weight. This is a very substantial, and well made, toilet. Installation was a breeze, requiring two bolts be undone, the hose disconnected, the old toilet lifting out, and the new one setting in place. Once installed I was immediately struck by how modern and stylish it looked compared to the one it replaced. It gave the whole bathroom an updated look. The elongated design, and slightly higher seat position, make for a very comfortable experience. The toilet is a one piece, it is molded without any nooks or crannies to attract dirt and grime. A simple wipe down is all that is needed to keep it in pristine condition. The conventional flush handle of 'old fashioned' toilets is replaced with a touch-less sensor, and a simple wave of the hand flushes the toilet. The sensor takes 4 AA batteries (which Kohler supplied in the box). When the batteries are low, the unit will beep five times at half-second intervals when activated to indicate it's time to replace them. Compared to my old toilet with 1.6 gpf (this one being just 1.28 gpf), I was surprised at how strong the flush was. The bowl was flushed clean using almost 3/4 of the water the old one needed. I've never needed to flush this toilet twice, were the old one would occasionally require an extra flush. Kohler's manual states the AquaPiston canister allows water to flow into the bowl from all sides (360 degrees), increasing the power and effectiveness of the flush. This was certainly the case in my experience. The force of the flush was very impressive. The supplied toilet lid has a slam free closing design which slowly lowers the seat when pushed. I'm very pleased with this toilet, and we plan to buy two more to use in two upcoming bathroom remodels later this year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way over priced for the defects. DON'T BUY ONE!! We remodeled our master bath and bought this toilet in Dune color and paid $800.00. Going by the brand name "Kohler" and paying a high dollar amount, we expected perfection. To the contrary, after 1 month it started flushing on it's own consistently, we finally had to shut water valve off. Called Kohler and they sent a new mechanism to install and that fixed the problem, so far. Now the toilet flapper chain kinks up and causes the toilet to run. Once we fix the chain it works about 3 days before it kinks up again. Our prior $200.00 dollar toilet never gave us a problem in 8 years, should have kept it. We are very upset that we purchased this overpriced defective toilet. Would NOT recommend this toilet to anyone.
