We've had this faucet 5 years now, and with our constant use, it still looks, and works like we just put it in. I agree totally with those who have listed so many of the nice features, but the one that we like best hasn't been mentioned! The faucet swivels up higher, and NOT at the sink level. We live in a 100 year old house, that has hard, well water, along with a high iron content. Even with a water softener, if water was splashed on to the top of the sink, the deposits would cause normal faucets to 'freeze', so they couldn't be turned from one sink to the other. There's no problem with this one, since it doesn't swivel at that base. WONDERFUL!
A few weeks ago, we had our first problem. The connector hose to faucet handle broke. NO PROBLEM! We called Kohler, and within a FEW DAYS, we received the parts, right DURING THE BUSY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY shipping season!! And at no cost to us what-so-ever!
We've had no problem with the soap dispenser at all. (always fill it from the top, which is so easy) As for the hose not retracting... no problems with that either... once we realized we needed to check under the sink, to make sure it wasn't getting caught on shut off valves or other plumbing! One more thing... the on/off switch on the spray head makes watering plants a breeze too!!

I purchased this more than a year ago, but it was only installed 10 months ago. The hose no longer goes back in place automatically when you are finished using it, and sometimes when I switch to spray instead of stream, it does both. Neither of these seem to be warranty issues. I can only guess what it will be like on a faucet I thought would last for years. Though I do many things myself, this was beyond my ability level and I had it professionally installed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aquavir Great value, aesthetic, and function
We recently purchased a house (built circa 2000). This faucet was installed and was leaking from the head and handle. We found another one (I'm assuming the original) on a shelf in the garage. So it appears, from this limited sample size, that we can expect to replace the one we just installed in about 7 years. I can live with that. The design is clean and aesthetic; the operation is simple and works well. This model doesn't have the magnetic docking mechanism for the head, but drooping has not been a problem so I am glad that I didn't shell out the extra money. The installation is VERY easy; I've probably installed 10-15 faucets and this was one of the simpler ones to work with.
Overall, I don't know that paying 2-4 times as much is worth it. As long as we get 5-10 years out of this unit, I'll likely purchase again. Perhaps with better management of our water hardness (the previous owner seems to have been spotty on that front) and some basic maintenance it will last even longer.

Very pleased with this faucet. Its the second one we have purchased. Does not have the newer magnetic docking, but any issues with the faucet head retracting can be adjusted by repositioning the weight that pulls the faucet head back into the neck.

I love the look of this faucet, we wanted a clean, simple look - so I guess the name "Simplice" fits it well. We did not use the soap dispenser. There is another Simplice that does not have the dispenser, but it was $100 more! Besides that, the only other difference I could find was that it mentioned a system that pulls the spray back up & in when done. When ordered at Home Depot, the representative was reading the specs. on this one & seemed to think that it had the system too So, it doesn't & the spray doesn't get pulled back ii like I'd hoped Ii don't think that locking system is worth $100 - isn't everyone on a budget? I now noticed a small scratch toward the back of the arch, & don't know yet if I will attempt to replace it. It's only been a couple weeks & it would be such a pain to remove & replace at this point!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by kimberli9 Two MAJOR Issues with this Faucet
This product looks great, fit perfectly, and was an absolute dream to install. Then things got ugly. I have had to discontinue the use of the soap dispenser because it doesn't work well (as in it won't pump out soap), plus there is a constant drip of soap around its base. Second, the operational lever assembly heats up and basically siezes if I'm running hot water through it for more than a few seconds. At that point, you can't turn it easily or adjust the flow, and it becomes loose, requiring that someone crawl underneath and tighten it. I am pretty disillusioned about these problems, based on the price and the quality that I have previously experienced with Kohler products.
