Customer Questions & Answers

Can a 5th hole be drilled into sink?

Asked by: fliersrr
Yes, You can drill another (5th) hole in an 18ga stainless steel sink. You use a "stepped" drill bit, it's cone shaped, that can drill any size hole up to just under 2". It's a job that must be done carefully. You start by tapping in a dimple with an awl...then predrilling as big a hole as you can with a regular steel bit...say 3/8". Then you insert the stepped bit and slowly drill down. Every 20 seconds or so the bit will drop...up to the next step size. This can be nerve racking to a beginner...go slow, be gentle and let the bit do the work. I'm a 30 year Journeyman plumber and I've done this at least 100 times. Hope this helps. Peter B. Seattle, WA

Does this sink come with the drain?

Saw a similar sink in the store all the descriptions fit but it included the drain so not sure if this is the same one.
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this sink does not come with the drain. We have a garbage disposal, and did not need a drain. But, if you do not have a garbage disposal, you will have to buy the drain additionally.

Is it possible to obtain additional clips for the Kohler K-3362-4 sink?

One review reported that there were only 10 provided with the sink, compared with 14 in their old sink. Also it was mentioned that the clips were "flimsy", so I'm wondering if it would help to have a few additional clips in use.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes you get extra clips, you can order them online from the manufacturer. Make sure you get the same type. In general, you need 4 in the front and back... and three in either side. That's at a minimum. That's 14 at least. Peter

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One thumb up, one down... I recently bought and installed the Staccato Single Basin sink... it is absolutely beautiful... it gives your kitchen a little extra style. It is deeper and made of a thicker gauge steel which is nice also. So why go for the contractors grade sinck, when for a few extra dollers you can improve the look of your kitchen. The only complaints I have about this is that is does not come with a template. You'd think that when buying a high quality product, one would be included. However, my biggest complaint is that the included hardware needed to fasten the sink to the counter was rather cheap. Also.. if you are a do-it-yourselfer, purchase a 5/16 deep socket! trust me, you'll really need it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful sink but beware! This sink is beautiful however the install was very difficult due to the clips Koehler provides. Clips are terrible and extended the install time by HOURS. Would definitely reconsider buying another Koehler sink due to this. Sink itself looks very nice and is of good quality. Not recommending due to difficulty installing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Due to the clips the installation is extremely frustration. Do no buy this sink unless you want to be frustrated. Clips are the worse thing I have ever seen. It is obvious that Kohler does not have the sink designer attempt to install in realistic kitchen set up. Installed many sinks by other companies and installation was quick and easy with the standard drop in sink clips. Kohler clips are frustrating and poor design compared to normal clips for drop in sinks.
