Model 3369-3-NA .. are sinks both the same size?

An earlier question was answered that a garbage disposal can be installed in one of the sinks of model number 3369-3-NA. .......When asked if one could be used this would be the model to use... but are the sinks both the same size or different like I see some with garbage disposals. Would it matter which side it's put on ? .
Asked by: Denise
Yes, the sinks are the same size.

What gauge is this?

Asked by: Anonymous
This sink is 18 gauge. I found out through research that this is the recommended minimum thickness for kitchen sinks since you want something that is strong, durable and doesn't sound like a tin can when the water splashes into it.

We purchased this sink last night; there are no clips and no booklet in the box. Does the sink require clips for installation?

Asked by: Anonymous
I'd think that only by great coincidence or because you've custom cut a new countertop for this sink will you avoid the need for positioning clips. Clips should have been included, along with an instruction booklet. The clips can be a bit daunting to install, depending on the space available under your countertop, but expending the extra effort (tedium?) to get as many of these placed and secured as possible should minimize the risk that your sink gets bumped and loses its caulk seal.

what is the difference in this sink and the other Kohler stainless steel sink?

This sink looks much the same as the other Kohler stainless steel sink, in the picture on line one looks darker than the other, is this the difference? seems to be same price and all.
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your inquiry. I believe you are referring to the K-RH3369-4-NA. This is the same sink, but the model number is different because the K-RH3369-4-NA is a Home Depot stock item. The picture is somewhat lighter, but again, it is the same product.

Anyone else had problems with either bowl not completely draining?

It's almost like it's too flat to drain off the final 1/4 cup of water and it's only in the right bowl. We installed new countertops cut for this sink and we even splurged and bought the matching $40ea strainers but I hate it. It's even discolored the bowl where that water sits. I try to remember to dry it out, but I shouldn't have to. And the spotting... I only thought I was tired of the old cast iron sink! We too had issue's with the clips. Terrible design and cheaply made clips. I was so in love with it, only to be so disappointed!! If we can't get resolved, it's going back!! Please help, Donna

I'd suggest you not give up yet. This hasn't happened with ours. If you used plumber's putty when you installed it, is it possible you didn't tighten the right drain assembly down tightly enough, leaving potentially too much thickness between the assembly and the sink bottom? Plumbers putting aside, I suppose this could also happen with rubber gaskets, possibly even more so, as they would not seem as "adjustable" for thickness. Obviously and for whatever reason, if water is standing, the area around the drain lacks the requisite slope. I'd think this would be a function of, 1. the drain geometry itself (least likely, as you have one side working) and, 2. drain installation (most likely). To my reasoning, a bona fide sink manufacturing defect of this kind should produce widespread, similar reports, which I've not seen as an avid review-before-I-purchase consumer. Not discounting the possibility, just thinking out loud. If you installed the drains using rubber gaskets, try yanking them in favor of some putty. Could get the depth down and still give a perfect seal, maybe.(?) Hope this helps. P.S. I partially agree with you about these clips. I don't necessarily think they are cheaply made, but I certainly had a difficult time affixing them to the sink perimeter and countertop underbelly. This was my fist sink installation, and it took some thought and effort to rig these up. Still, the whole family was happy with the end product. :)

I'm not a stainless steel sink fan as we've done many kitchen sinks over years of remodeling but this one is a nice quality. Negative part would be the clips that fasten sink to countertop are extremely hard to put on. My husband said they need to make it easier with a better clip design. Overall so far we like the updated look even though it spots like all stainless steel sinks. Very nice curved design adds a lot to looks of the kitchen. Price was very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the final product! I did a lot of research when trying to find a sink that fit my requirements! I knew I wanted a sink that was not square since the one I had wasn't and I loved that the bigger cookie sheets comfortably fit into the sink, and I knew I wanted something that would last me for a long time. This sink fit the bill perfectly and it looks so classy! I was nervous about it coming in damaged since I'd read a lot of people had issues with that, but mine was unharmed. My I had my plumber install the sink, but he did say that it was challenging with the clips. I chose to install the Kohler stainless steel drains and they go perfectly with the sink. There were a couple of things I was worried about: 1. the depth of the sink. I had a sink that was 9" deep and so I was a little worried that the 8" would be noticeable. In the end, I decided that since I don't hand wash my dishes that I probably wouldn't notice the depth change too much. Now that it's in, I don't know that I can even tell a difference! I think that the way it's brushed makes it looks deeper. :) 2. I was worried about everyone saying that the sink scratches easily. Well, it's true. But even so, I don't know that I've seen any stainless sink that isn't scratched. I figure I don't want to have to be careful to keep my sink scratch free and looking brand new. That may change, but for now, I LOVE the way it looks, I like the sound deafening technology and the functionality of the curved basins! And for reference, the sink is paired with the Kohler Bellera faucet (which is also lovely!).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice update to the kitchen The sink is the gem of the kitchen now - I recommend getting the custom grates since the surface does scratch fairly easily (but in the care and cleaning side, they admit this and say it gives it a unique look over time). Love the depth of the bowls. Fits right into the original opening. Installing the clips to the counter is an unbelievably painful experience, but it can be done, with patience and the right tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Stainless Sink I Have Ever Used Being a Kohler, I thought this sink would be good, especially since it is 18 gauge. BUT, this sink water stains worse than any stainless steel sink I have used. I bought this new at Home Depot, the plumber installed it and water tested it and the new faucet. I could not get the water stains out of the sink. I dried it with paper towels. I re-wetted it and dried it with a dry towel. I re-wetted and used yet a different dry towel. Still, the water stains did not go away. The plumber took the sink out, I returned it to Home Depot, and I now have an 18-gauge Kraus sink that doesn't show stains even if I wipe the sink with a damp dish cloth. I would NOT recommend the Kohler sink to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I read the reviews after purchasing this product and expected more problems with it than we actually encountered. Yes, the mounting clips leave alot to be desired. Not enough clips come with the sink to secure it properly, we had to get another package of clips. We ended up using a total of 19 clips. We also had a bit of a problem with getting the rim to sit down flush on the counter top. We remedied this by having a 220 lb. guy stand on the rim while another tightened the clips down. Just make sure your counter top will take the weight, ours has a 3/4 inch plywood sub-deck. Other than that ,we are very pleased with the sink. Oh yes , we recommend putting clear silicone sealant under the rim before seating it down as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product and Installation I only just finished installing the product. In terms of quality and issues raised in previous reviews I have this to say: This unit DOES HAVE about 1/4" raised edges all the way around which DOES allow water to flow from one sink to another in case one is overflowing. I do not understand what one person wrote about the dishwasher vent issue. I see no issue on this. About sound pads: They to my mind are very adequate. I do not hear any unexpected sounds when running water into the sink. This is 18 gauge sheet metal which already helps a lot. Something you need to consider when installing especially if you had cast iron sinks before: my cast iron sink was also 22x33" but I needed to make the hole larger for this unit. The cast iron sink did not employ any clips to hold the sink down, this one does, and it takes a bigger hole. In instruction they give hole size of 21 7/16 x 32 7/16" if yours is much smaller than this you likely need to make it bigger so just be prepared. Also, when you install clips you may find that you need to add additional wood pieces under the sink at least where the clips will be to give them support unless you shorten the clip screws or have a special deep socket tool that goes over the long screw part as you tighten the nut. Also, be aware that there are not enough clips for every location under the sink (there are holes under the sink rim where the clip retainer will engage - more than clips available). I suggest you check the level of your countertop around the sink opening to help determine the best locations for the clips. If it is all level then you just need two clips per side. Finally: Be aware that the new sink waste lines might not line up with your old sink's. Also if you go from say 9" deep sink to 8" deep (as this is) you will also have to find a way to extend your waste line plumbing by 1". This is relatively easy to do if you can utilize the white flexible hose used in swimming pool plumbing (though this is quite stiff hose) which is available and glue it in with appropriate fittings to replace horizontal PVC pipe run(s). Then you can simply get 1" longer rubber/plastic piece to come from your strainer pipe to the PVC piping. I am pleased how the sink looks like and its functionality.
