We needed a new toilet seat for our main bathroom so got this elongated bowl seat.
Looks really nice and was easy to install. Installed in a few minutes.
The elongated seat is very comfortable and that is what I like. I am tall and it is
way more comfortable than the round seats for me.
Even though we have a round toilet the elongated seat fits that just fine. Just a little
bit larger is all ..to me not enough to matter. One day will replace the toilet.
The seat is sturdy and well made.
The elongated seat is easy to clean because it has a quick-release seat. The seat removes
making cleaning easy and quick and who does not like that when it comes to cleaning the
Also this product is American made. Good feature I like.
It fits secure with no shifting when you sit down. If you have to sit there for a bit it is
way more comfortable on your legs.
The hardware that comes with the elongated seat prevents loosening. Nice feature also.
I hate sitting on a toilet seat and it shifts to one side making you think you are falling off.
With this elongated seat it fits secure.
The elongated seat makes our bathroom llook much nicer. The shape of it to me looks more
modern than the round ones.
The lid raises and closes very easy. The seat itself raises very easy. Not tight at all.
If you want a comfortable nice looking toilet seat I would recommend this Kohler Elongated
toilet seat. Very nice looking in your bathroom and so comforatable.
The plastic hinges are color matched and look real nice.
The lid shuts quiet which is also a nice feature.
The elongated lid is compatible with the one or two piece toilets which is nice.
Measurements of the elongated toilet seat - Width is 14 3/16 inches and the Length is 18 5/8 inches.
So it is a good size toilet seat.
Overall I like the easy installalation, the quick release lid for cleaning, the comfort and the
size of this elongated lid. It is long enough it will not hurt your legs if you sit for awhile.

Our old toilet seat had begun to loosen and would not stay in place no matter what you did. I was pleased when I saw this item up for review. The adjustable hinges provide for the perfect fit for elongated toilets. Easy to install with fast and foolproof quick-attach hardware. The quick attach hardware secures the seat in place and prevent loosening. Sometimes, toilet seats need to be completely removed to do a great job of cleaning. With quick release hardware, you can quickly remove the seat for deep cleaning. Looks nice, fresh and clean.

The Stonewood Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat with Quick Release Hinges is a great product at a great value. The toilet seat has an elongated design which is the current style. The toilet seat is compatible with most elongated toilets. The seat is made of compression molded wood and has a more substantial feel than other plastic versions. The best part is the easy assembly (no tools required) and easy removal to allow for a thorough cleaning.

One cannot write too many words about a toilet seat other than to comment on its looks, functionality, and cost. At just over 18 dollars at my local Home Depot this seat appears to be a good value. This Kohler toilet seat is representative of Kohler quality – sturdy, modern, and certainly functional. It fit my Kohler toilet perfectly. The unit comes with a feature many find most helpful – an easy to remove hinge. The seat can be removed by simply turning the hinge mechanism and then lifted off the toilet for easy cleaning of the usually hard to reach area under the rear of the seat. The seat is removed without the need to undo the fastening bolts that secure the seat to the toilet. No tools are needed to take advantage of this feature. The no-tool-required aspect of this feature is especially welcomed when the seat is far removed from the tool chest in the basement. Installation was easy. Removing the old seat was more difficult. The non-rust bolt used to secure the seat to the toilet should ensure easy removal if require at some time in the future. Some reviewers report difficulty with securing the nylon bolt and blame the bolt material for the problem. I did not encounter any problem with the seat becoming loose because of the bolt material. Perhaps, the problem is not the nylon bolt itself, but the over tightening of it. A friend told me a long time ago not to over tighten any nylon or plastic type bolt and nut. Over tightening can cause the stripping of the bolt and a loose toilet seat. While I was not overly concerned with the ascetics of the seat – looking more to its functionally – the seat design is modern and I would suspect would satisfy the taste of the majority of users and blend into most bathroom designs. Overall the toilet appears sturdy and I expect a long use. I have only very recently installed this seat so I will return to this review after several months of use to comment further as to its sturdiness and expected long use. Based on my time of use and ease installation, I would at this time recommend this seat to others.

I noticed quite a few negative reviews on this toilet seat and virtually all were regarding the design of the quick release hinges so I paid particular attention to those hinges during installation but first about the rest of the features.
The toilet seat is a nice bright white smooth finish that matches the glazed toilet white color. The one I replaced had a finish that had an orange peel appearance to it. The design is good and the lid completely covers the seat whereas the old one did not.
Now I will describe the installation. The plastic wing nut does contact the toilet allowing both hands free to tighten the screws. That seems important. As I tightened the screws into the sliding adjustable black spacer I noticed a tendency for the sides of the forked seat hinge to splay outward unless I held them in place with a pinching action of one hand. This allowed me to tighten the seat enough to make sure it was secure. Remember, the seat will have to be slid in and out past the black spacer for the quick release action so overtightening the screws would create a problem. Once you snap the caps on the forked hinge attachments the sides are held in place until you want to pull the seat forward for quick release. Those black spacers are supposed to provide some horizontal adjustment for a good fit of the seat over the toilet rim but I found them of minimal use for that purpose.
Also, nowhere on the box or even on the Kohler web site did I see a reference to videos for installation or quick release operation during my early searches. Then I noticed the terms "Q2" and "Q3" in one search result. Those stand for Quick Attach, Quick Release and Quiet Close is the 3rd Q. This unit is NOT quiet close since it is too heavy to allow that feature. Anyway, if you search the Kohler site for Q2 and Q3 you will find the videos BUT I don't know why there isn't a reference on the box by the installation instructions. BTW, the videos could stand a bit of expansion as well.
All in all the unit seems well made but the hinge design allowing quick release seems only adequate and could stand a design review. I am not sure anyone else's quick release feature is any better.

Just as all the other reviewers stated, the installation hardware simply doesn't work. I'm really mad because the seat that I actually wanted is shown on display in the store with the easy cleaning hinge that I had previously. I purchased the seat with the SAME stock number but when I got home it had this different 'adjustable' hinges that don't work. I thought I had grabbed the wrong box, so I returned it and decided to buy another. When I went back to the display, I realized that the display model is not the same as what is in the box. This is probably the 'new improved' model. Don't buy it!
