Customer Questions & Answers

The one review says there was an issue about the metal rim needed, has it been resolved?

I have this same sink in my bathroom. It is quite old and the porcelain glaze is damaged and stained. I am excited to find it available, but i want to know that the new rim will not give problems for the installation.

At first, my contractor didn't think the metal rim would fit this cast iron sink, but the installer said it worked fine. Sink and frame fit in the old counter hole where the old Standard sink was replaced. See photo.

What is the finished size including the frame. I am trying to figure out if my old sink with the metal frame is exactly the same size as the Kohler.

Mine is 19x21 measuring with the frame. Since the frame is on top of the sink edge, I cannot tell the exact sink size. So, I have measured to the outsides of the metal frame in both directions. thank you.

I had to replace a 50+ yr old cast iron sink with metal frame that had the same 19 x 21 inch metal frame. This sink with the new metal frame fit exactly in place of the old one. Kohler's web site lists this sink as 20" x 18" and that's right on target. Kohler's recommended metal frame is 19 x 21.

We want to use this sink to replace an existing sink (same size), it will have tile framing the sink. Do we need to use the metal frame with the sink?

Asked by: Anonymous
The frame is necessary if you are replacing a sink of the same size and style. Without the frame the sink will fall through the original cutout in the counter top.

The one review for this product was saying that there was a problem with the metal rim for this product not having the punch-outs required?

This appears to be the exact sink i need to replace my sink that has had damage to the finish. The rim is in good condition, but i would like to have a new one, but i do not want problems with installation. Please advise?

Pros installed mine (replacement for an old Standard sink of the same size). My contractor first said that the metal frame was not for this sink, being narrower than the old metal frame, but the installers had no trouble installing it in the same hole as the old sink, using the new frame.
