Answer:
Hello doer, I’m Chris from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question.
Turn off the water supply valve and flush the tank.
Then simply disconnect the water supply line to the tank.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that attach the tank to the bowl and turn it over.
Pull off the old seal and replace it with the new one.
Reassemble.
I hope this helps,
Chris.

Tank Gasket for Drylock Connection is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Fine You'll know you need this gasket when water leaks out from between the tank and toilet when you flush the toilet. I tried tightening the tank bolts, but the leak continued. This tank gasket fit our Kohler toilet perfectly--as one would expect. The question I have is, why do they fail in the first place? I replaced one after about 7 years--and I replaced this one on a second toilet after 9 years. The old gaskets are not subject to much movement and both of the failed gaskets appeared to be intact--flattened and a little harder than the replacements, but with no visible cracks or gaps. Just life I guess--I have nothing better to do. :) The water supply to our toilet tank is flexible braided stainless steel so, after I drained the tank, I was able to sit the tank on a bucket adjacent to the toilet with the water supply still connected. I have heard of people breaking the tanks--so make sure it is not going to crash to the floor when you bump it! Oh--and thanks to Home Depot for stocking these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wrong product for me We have a 2 button flush toilet. The gasket size we need is apparently not available anywhere. This was the wrong size for what I needed, but no flaws with the product itself.
