Product Overview

Upgrade your toilet to a no-touch flush. This easy-to-install retrofit kit brings a KOHLER touchless flush to almost any toilet. Once it's installed, just hold your hand over the tank sensor to activate the flush. No handle to touch means fewer germs to pick up or leave behind.

  • Retrofits a standard toilet to touchless flush
  • Flush is activated by a no-touch sensor mounted inside the tank
  • Powered by 4 AA batteries (included)
  • Works with most canister and flapper toilets
  • Not compatible with dual-flush, top-mount flush, pressure-assist, or ballcock valve toilets
  • Simple installation taking most people less than 20 minutes
  • Trip lever hole cover included
  • Optional hand indicator decal included (indicates where the touchless module is located inside of tank)
  • Touchless flush kit comes complete with: touchless module with sensor, all mounting hardware, battery pack, 4 AA batteries, trip lever hole cover, flush emblem for tank lid (use is optional), and an installation and care guide
  • Touchless module projects an electromagnetic field through the top of the tank lid that senses your hand, causing the toilet to flush
  • Touchless is compatible with a variety of water usage rates

Question for those hat have had the unit more than a month

Just curious how many folks are experiencing the phantom flushing described in many of the reviews. I had a unit installed in April and by May it started the phantom flushing. Tried various "fixes" including operation without the toilet lid on and replacing batteries to no avail.

If you've had the unit less than a month, you won't know if you'll have the problem, so no need to reply.

I bought two of these (one as a retrofit, and one as part of a touchless Kohler toilet, and both started flushing on their own. The seal is not perfect, which allows moisture inside the housing. On one toilet, the constant flushing (every 10 seconds) while we were away caused a flood which destroyed our floors. Luckily it was downstairs, or the damage would have been much worse. There really needs to be some safeguards built in to the device which will automatically suspend the flushing action if it senses multiple flushes within a certain period of time. Kohler replaced both mechanisms under warranty twice, and both replacements experienced the same issues. I want them completely out of my house, but my wife likes the convenience (plus as I mentioned, one is a factory touchless toilet, so replacing that would be expensive). I recently purchased two new units since my originals are out of warranty by now, and of the two new ones, one began flushing after just a couple weeks - even after leaving the top open for days to dry out. On the other one, I noticed that Kohler has now included a foam pad that you stick to the underside of the tank lid to prevent condensation from accumulating, so at least they're somewhat acknowledging there's a problem. The device has been in the toilet for a month and a half. No phantom flushing yet. My wife set a basket of Toilet Paper over the flush area, which caused the flusher to flush. Moving that saved gallons of water. Try adjusting the box in the tank, Up would be best it moves the sensitivity past the lid this way. Think this will help. Be Safe.

Yes, the Phantom is real. The first device worked for almost a year before it began acting up. I replaced it and the second one began its phantom flush about 60 days later. It is the connections on the wires, which are not firmly seated into their sockets. Poor design, cheap manufacture.

I've never used it too dark a bathroom, but i would imagine so. The flush works with an infrared sensor that can sense the proximity of your hand to sensor. Since the sensor is underneath the toilet lid and uses infrared, I imagine it would have no issues working in the dark.

The instructions say to use alkaline batteries and I am not sure Duracell are alkaline. This could be the trouble. The spacing below the lid might be to much so I would move the unit closer to the top of the bowel so it is just about touching the bottom of the lid. Be Safe

It isn't the batteries. It is the connection, I think. When you open the device the wires are not firmly seated, so that is causing the malfunction. It isn't the battery and it certainly isn't anything you did. Try to wiggle the wires and get them better seated into the connectors.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Gadget - when it works Lasts at the most a month. Had to exchange 4 or 5 already. This time had to settle for open box. Either the unit breaks, or it just stops working. No, not the batteries or user installation. WAY overpriced for a product that ALWAYS stops working or breaks. Too bad - it's a great idea and works good, if and when it works at all. October 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Short lived Had for two years and about to buy my 3rd replacement , when it woks it's great, I have no choice but to replace the kit as I have to replace the whole toilet if I dont. At $49 it's worth a try but try your least used bathroom first to see if you like... Battery life is pretty bad also.. October 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We all love it The installation was simple. At first when I looked inside the box I thought I might struggle figuring out how to install it. But it turned out to be so simple I really didn't need the directions. I even used my old chain which made it even easier. My sister inlaw even got one because her husband is germaphobe. I did have to check where the 4 pads go and found out they stabilize the lid. I removed my handle and plugged the hole with the hole cover provided, my sister Inlaw left hers on. It even comes with 4 alkaline batteries which is a plus because many times you need to purchase them separate. I have pictures of my unit and my sister in laws so you can see the two different applications. I wouldn't have expected anything less from Kohler. April 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of money !!! !!! !!! I like to stay up to date with technology but this technology evidently wasn't tested more than a few days. A week after I had this toilet installed it started flushing on its own. I called Koehler and they sent me replacement parts but the flushing problem continued. Now the flush arm will only move about an inch and will not flush. I wish I had not bought this toilet. October 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flushes 150 times a day while at work It's Flushing right as I write this. Now it waste so much water. Cost hundreds of extra dollars a month in water. Good luck to everyone October 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The whole family loves these We had two toilets with flushing problems where they would hang or not flush all the way even after replacing most of the inner workings so I decided to give these a try. We love them. One toilet was a bit of a challenge to install but once they were working they flush beautifully every time. October 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the trouble I thought this touchless toilet would be great with kids, etc. but it has been nothing but trouble. We have had dozens of "mystery" flushes! No one in the bathroom and "swoosh"! I have had to replace this battery pack with Kohler 3 times now. Now Kohler is saying that 2 of the parts in the battery pack need to be replaced due to some fault in them. And it takes a long time to get the new parts. Not pleased to say the least. AND, to top it off, I bought the whole toilet, which has a tank with no hole to put in a regular type flushing handle. I would not recommend this product at all. August 27, 2016
