I have a single lever Kohler kitchen faucet that the spray deverter valve is not working, the water is coming out of the spray head and the faucet.

Asked by: Anonymous
Sounds like the valve on the spray head isn't closing. I've had this same issue with hard water deposits. You can try soaking the head in vinegar and see if that helps, personally I just replace the whole spray head and problem solved. Hope this helps

O-Ring kit - part number?

Comments on this item strongly suggest purchasing an O-Ring kit and replacing the O-rings at the same time as replacing the valve. Can someone provide the part number of the correct O-Ring kit?
Asked by: Boris
Look under your sink at the tag on the cold water feed hose under your faucet. It will show the Kohler part number for your faucet. Go to Kohler's web site (http://www.us.kohler.com/us/catalog/maintenanceLanding.jsp) and search for the part number (don't type in the dash and added letters like -AA-BB). Look for the parts diagram and find the part number for your faucet's O-ring kit. Or, just call Kohler and they'll tell you.

Will this fit my Koehler ansi a112?

Asked by: Fran
Hello, my name is Sarah with KOHLER Customer Service. Unfortunately, the ansi number is a code the faucet abides by and does not distinguish the model. To be sure we are understanding your question correctly, please contact us by phone at 1-800-456-4537 (M-F; 8am-5pm CST). Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

YouTube videos posted by Kohler show the process. One thing to check before you buy: Kohler and this site both recommend that when you replace the valve you also replace the O-rings for the spigot. In my case I have "remote valve," where the valve knob is separate from the spigot, which wasn't leaking. And the "frequently purchased with" O-ring kit shown on this page is for models that have a combined valve and spigot. If you have a separate valve and spigot like I do, that's the wrong kit and you may not even need it. Research before you buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted 2 weeks I installed this part and new washers as well. Everything new but lasted only 2 weeks before it started leaking once again. My wife was very happy I finally fixed the faucet leak but now it leaks from where you connect the faucet handle which is coming from the valve. The ring washers are new so they are not leaking. I would have been better off buying a new faucet.
