This sink tied everything together we have the slate appliances with stainless accents.Directions were great. It took me a little longer to install measured ten times cut once. I didn't want to cut it wrong and you can only cut it once or end up tearing out the whole counter-top.Great product!! Looks Great and easy directions.

We had the sink for a couple of years now. Our only complaint is that the bottom of the sink is too leveled and food particles do not drain well. If you do not rinse right away they will dry and stick and will need to be aggressively hosed off. If you have good water pressure that helps.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Salty Had higher expectations of Kohler!
We really wanted a top-mount sink to install with our new butcher block counters. This sink looks beautiful online and also when you take it out of the box. The installation was very easy and the online video provided through Kohler is an awesome tool. The problem starts once you start using the sink every day. I can't believe how easily the surface scratches and after only a few weeks the sink looks horrible. Don't even think of letting any stonewear near this sink! Our solution was to find some rubber sink mats to help keep the scratching down and then the rust issue started from leaving the mats in the sink even for a short period of time or only overnight. I know that this is not the most expensive sink out there, but it isn't inexpensive either. I could not find a good top-mount cast iron farm sink so I settled for this Kohler vault only to regret it. It is not what I have experienced or expected from a Kohler product. Don't make the same mistake that we made, stay away!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tomyka very well built sink
I didn't realize how well built this sink was until I went to have it installed. It is super heavy with an almost solid apron. This sink is super huge and just right for completely soaking casserole dishes.l love it and it is well worth the dollars spent

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rose707 Beautiful but rust is a risk...
The sink is gorgeous, but we've only had it in for a week and there has been an issue with tiny rust dots speckling across, but especially in the corners. The design is flawed, in that it allows water to sit rather than drain out easily, so I've been really good about wiping it dry. I was pretty upset to find the rust. Luckily, a little bit of Barkeeper's Friend took the rust right off, so we're just going to be extra careful for a while and see if the issue is resolved. We did have our kitchen rag on a suction cup hook in the inside corner of the sink, and it rusted there the most, so do not leave any sponges or rags anywhere on or inside the sink. I'm going to get something that will sit on the counter for the dishrag. So for now, we're pretty happy with it and hoping that the rust will not reappear. If it does I will edit the review...

We love our new sink. It's huge! Single bowl is the only way to go. We get compliments all the time from friends and family. It's beautiful, unique and perfect. So happy with this purchase. We got the faucet from Home Depot as well and love it too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by aaroninsurprise HUGE but AWESOME Sink
This sink is HUGE. We had a two bowl sink prior to this one. We were hesitant to covert to a single bowl, but are very glad we did. I highly recommend a quality faucet to use with this sink. The size of the sink looks a lot larger than our previous one, but really isn't that much larger when you look at the measurements, but this one LOOKS a lot larger than what we had in there before. We also are ordering a rack that goes in the bottom of the sink to help protect it from becoming dented and scratched by Pots and Pans. We are a LITTLE concerned about water spots and how CLEAN the sink will look, but hope that the rack at the bottom will help conceal any waterspouts.
Instillation wasn't HARD, but does take some planning. My only true concern was once I cut my countertops there was NO going back. Watching the instillation videos (available online by Kohler) reading the instructions (more than once) and using the templets that come with the sink will make the process MUCH easier. I am pretty skilled with pretty much anything home improvement related, but I did find using the resources MUCH more helpful than normal. Be concise and precise with your planning, cutting and instillation; because any errors will result in LESS than desirable results. This is NOT your typical/simple sink install or replacement.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DstBstSN The farm with a twist
We've wanted to get a farm style sink for some time, but to be honest didn't consider stainless steel until we saw this model. It looks great and matches the rest of our SS appliances. The large single basin is fantastic. (can't stress this enough) I love that I can toss large pots and pans completely in the sink with no problem at all. Sheet pans? Easy. Need to soak the lasagna dishes? Piece of cake.
Installation was fairly straightforward and it took me about half the day to wrap it up. I found it really useful to watch the step-by-step video Kohler has on-line. I used a combination of a jig saw and an oscillating tool for the cuts and thought that worked really well. I admit It's a little weird to cut into your perfectly good countertops, but the included guide keeps you honest.
I would highly recommend getting a faucet with a sprayer hose. The basin is so big it's really useful to rinse out the entire sink. Two things to note: If you live in a place with hard water like I do be prepared to wipe down plenty of surface area that will inevitably have hard water spots. (i know, it's stainless) Also, you're going to need two pieces of wood to mount to the inside of of your cabinet. Instructions say they must be 1/2" or thinner. 1/4" really seems ideal, but who has that laying around? I ended up buying two 24"x2"x1/4 pieces of oak "hobby board" and that worked great.
