I've read two reviews that claimed the shelves in some of the compartments can't be adjusted without removing the doors. Is this true?

To remove one door and change shelf levels.....its taken me longer to blow my nose than do this. Of course, I do have allergies. Read Less

Yes, it is true. But this design ensures that they don't fall out like the other ones with simple plastic clips. The doors are easy to remove and reinstall.

Answer:
Yes, the shelves do not lie on pegs, they are sandwiched between them. You have to first slide the shelves out of the peg holders, then remove the pegs from the wholes on the cabinet walls. You can not slide the shelves out because the cabinet doors are in the way.

Hello, my name is Andrea with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your Medicine Cabinet question.
It is true you will need to remove the doors to adjust the shelving, however the doors are supplied with quick release hinges, which makes this task easier. I have included the instructions of how this can be done.
To install the shelves for the large 40" Verdera cabinets (K-99010, K-99011), door removal is required.
To ease removal, all doors on the large cabinets are equipped with quick-release hinges.
IMPORTANT! Do not leave the door supported with only one hinge during removal or reinstallation. Disengage the bottom hinge first during removal, and reattach the top hinge first during installation
Remove
With one hand, support the door in the open position.
Starting with the bottom hinge, press the latch at the end of the hinge to release it from the bracket.
Repeat for the upper hinge.
Move the door forward to slide the hinges off the brackets.
Reinstall
With one hand, support the door in the open position.
Starting with the top bracket, align the hinge pin with the cup of the bracket.
Press the back of the hinge to snap the latch onto the bracket.
Repeat for the lower hinge.
Open and close the door to ensure proper operation.

I've read some reviews and seen some pictures of Kholer cabinets which doors won't stay completely closed since they don't have a magnet or something to keep them flush closed. Is this an issue with this cabinet? Thanks!

Yes. There are spring loaded hinges that also close softly and from around a 20 degree angle. Ours work well.

Answer:
The cabinet is recess mounted, and the wood border is a kit you get that basically snaps into place. If you surface mount it, there is a mirrored side kit to cover the cabinet aluminum sides

Hello, my name is April with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your mirrored cabinet question.
For the Model # 99011-NA if you are referring to the photo that is posted on the Home Depot website for this cabinet, that is most likely a customer piece of wood that was installed on the wall to border the cabinet. Cutout for recess-mount installation: 38-1/2” (978
mm) width x 28-1/4”

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High Quality, Kohler Verdera This recessed medicine cabinet is priced too high. However, the quality is outstanding. I realize this cabinet could be exterior mounted, but we chose to recess it and there was a great deal of change to the wall behind in order to set it in. This required a great deal of effort and was not simple, but it was worth it. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Medicine Cabinet! This is an excellent product. Looks good, functions well, great features, such as self-closing doors that close very softly. The only issue we had was installing the glass shelves in the side cabinets. Our contractor took the installation manual when he hauled off the box and the shelf installation is not at all intuitive. After downloading the installation manual from Kohler, it was a snap. This is a large cabinet that replaced an even larger mirror in our remodel project. The large size is nice from a mirror perspective as well as the additional storage. The quality of the cabinet is top notch, which is expected at this price level, but you get what you pay for. With this cabinet, you get a lot. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Medicine cabinet is fantastic. The only thing to improve on is if the side cabinets could be switched to open in the other direction only middle door can be switched. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mirror makes the room This mirror is absolutely gorgeous. We had it installed by our contractor and bought it at his suggestion. He had put the same mirror in for another customer who just loved it. Beautiful with lots of room for storage. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous Mirrored Cabinet Feels sturdy. Looks great. Installation was straight forward. We have a small bathroom and this cabinet has mirrors inside and out (we purchased the optional side mirrors kit, too) so the light in the room bounces around and our small bathroom feels bigger and brighter. We don't have much storage space in the room so the interior size of this cabinet is much appreciated. The cabinet doors are easy to open with a fingertip so there's no fingerprint smudges on the glass. The small zoom mirror inside the center section is a nice addition for makeup application or other close-up grooming. The two outside sections open toward the middle so I can stand in front of the center section and see both sides of my head and admire my earrings or profile without moving. It is expensive, but it is also huge and gorgeous. Glad we bought it. April 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top Quality Cabinet I don't mind paying a high price for a quality item. This is one example; the price was pretty steep, but the cabinet was head and shoulders above anything I could find in a store. The finished, installed product is not only beautiful, but extremely functional. Well worth the price paid. Recessed installation was quite a project, but well worth the effort. April 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Incorrect measurements in the instructions. Both the instructions available online and packaged with the product indicate an incorrect hole size for recessed mount - now I'm patching drywall I didn't need to cut. Included screws were junk - rounded hex-heads, shallow phillips patterns, and not self-tapping. Not having the option to switch the door orientation on the sides isn't great. Having to remove the doors to install shelves is blegch. Product quality seems fine. Plastic in a few places that could have been metal, but overall decently put together. The hinges are especially nice - very easy to adjust alignment. February 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent bathroom cabinet I chose this cabinet to replace the original one supplied by the builder in 1959. It seemed similar to the cabinet I had installed in one of my other bathrooms around twenty years ago but it was much larger and far less expensive. My wife loves this new cabinet. It holds all of her supplies, the mirrors are top quality, the construction is quite solid and the materials used are first class. In addition , my handyman had absolutely no trouble in making the installation. Literally, absolutely nothing to complain about. I should add that my wife and I also appreciate the fact that the attached magnifying mirror can be slid up and down so that our different heights can be easily accommodated. That is a marvelous feature. Finally the cabinet was delivered to our door on time and there was no damage to the container or cabinet. All in all a very satisfying experience. No hesitation in recommending this item or Home Depot as the Supplier. May 5, 2015
