OK, I bought the toilet because I'm on a well and the el cheapo I had leaked and ran my well dry. I liked the idea of 1.0 gpf. I also have used Sloan Valve toilets before and think of them as workable, but very noisy. This toilet is efficient, it works, and it isn't nearly as noisy as other Sloan toilets I've run into. I really like it! I think I may get another one. I do wish, though, that Kohler would emphasize something other than their "bold look." As far as I'm concerned, a toilet looks like a toilet. This one really works, and I would have preferred that Kohler recognize that!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NowAWaterSaver Saves Water and has Great Performance
After using this toilet I've had to ask myself: "How much is too much love for a toilet?"
If you like to save water (and toilets are bigger consumers than showers) then this is for you.
The flush is quite powerful and reliable.
This is a bit louder than the garden variety toilet; but our bathroom is sharing walls with 2 bedroom in our house and it hasn't been a problem at all, so I'd only worry about it if someone is really noise sensitive.
The tank/bowl rubber gasket didn't come with it though, I thought that was strange, but they're readily available at a hardware store so it was fine.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by scstsk Easy install-quick flush, leaves streaks
We installed the toilet yesterday. It was an easy install and the flush is quick and seems powerful. Unfortunately, it has not completely cleared some of the waste, leaving streaks/marks in the bottom of the bowl. We have a Glacier Bay dual flush that, as long as you have the waste in the water, clears it perfectly, but if you're not tall, it's hard to sit over the water, since it's both elongated and ADA height. The height on this is much more comfortable for most people, and hopefully the flush will work better.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rube Powerful flush
This toilet has a powerful flush and it feels great that it only uses 1 gallon of water. This is my first time ever installing a toilet, so I felt that the lack of detailed instructions could have been better -- I needed to consult videos online to know how to install this. However, it turned out to be pretty easy. The flush is loud for a residential toilet (but the sound is comparable to many commercial toilets), so this may bother some people.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYSteve Works very well
2 piece toilet was easy to install, has been in 1 week & no leaks. Instructions were ok. 1.0 gpf & flushmate handles the job really well. I would recommend this product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dw47 Good value for the price
Performance is good. Only uses 1 gallon and refill is finished 30 seconds after you push the handle. Some times the handle sticks and water keeps running. This seems to happen if you do not firmly push handle all the way down. Otherwise, I am satisfied. It is a little loud, but not that bad. You realize you're saving water everytime you hear it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nopluggedtoilets Wow! Now thats flushing!
I bought 2 of these toilets. My wife and daughter were constantly plugging up the original toilets in our 20 year old mobile. Now we have no problems with plugging! These are wonderful toilets and only use one gallon of water.

Easy to install, just like a standard toilet. Not exactly quiet, but I would definitely recommend it.
