I have a hairline crack over 12" long going around the inside of the bowl above with water line, this is almost 3 years old. I've never seen anything like it, gets light use, no one weighs over 160lbs.
Going back to American Standard.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chuck GREAT TOILET - FLUSHES COMPLETELY EVERY TIME
This is a great toilet, easy to install, and the siphon action flush works perfectly every time. Modern look. Bowl stays clean - stuff doesn't stick to it. I'll be buying another one for the other bathroom.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by georgeinNY 1.28 actually works as good as the old days 3 gal
Had a need for a low tank height for location toilet was being placed in. Could not go comfort height but really wanted elongated as replacement of older fixture. Also wanted Kohler since have replaced two older toilets in recent years with Kohler's and had good experience. The previous replacements were 1.6 and I was dubious at first replacing the old 3 gallon tanks. The 1.6's turned out to flush better than the old 3 gallon toilets. Now getting a 1.28 same concern. So far in for a couple weeks just as good as the 1.6 I amazed at the technology now in place for these toilets. HD ordering system was easy since allows filtering while searching for product. This was beneficial trying to match color and tank height etc. The only thing I don't understand is why adding a color makes these toilets rise in price so much and also most times requires ordering.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PeteO GREAT BUY but . . .
This is exactly the toilet we wanted, replacing our late '80s 3.5 gallons per flush water waster. This Kohler flushes in a second, completely and quietly, all unlike the ancient john it replaced.
Installation was easy (but dealing with 30 years' toilet funk was not pleasant at all) and the new flushing hardware in the tank seems very high quality that won't have to be replaced for many, many years.
Problem is, there was a hairline crack on the top of the bowl when it came out of the box. We are talking with Kohler about it and expect them to make good their 1 year warranty by sending us a replacement.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Roger OK toilet - over priced
I bought three of these toilets. Two work perfect, one "runs" in the middle of the night for about 10 seconds. Can't find the problem. There are no leaks. A plumber told me it could be a pressure issue as the water pressure goes up at night when less people are using water. I live with it.

It is an excellent toilet you could possibly get for the price( You could get $175 rebates for this unit). Very efficient, quiet and stylish toilet. Easy installation. I will give it a full recommendation.

At first, I thought I made a mistake with the two water-saving Kohler toilets I purchased as replacements for 25-year-old Kohler Wellworth Classic toilets. But after a few days of use, I can honestly say I like them very much and am happy with the purchase. They flush very quickly and powerfully and fill up quickly and quietly. As always, they look good. This toilet is a bit smaller than the regular classic Wellworth so the tank doesn’t rest as close to the wall as the older one did but I prefer that. I had the toilets installed by a plumber so can't comment on the ease of installation except to say it did not take him very long to put in the two toilets.

Purchased as a special order. It was left in the box until plumber arrived to install (I was not present for the unboxing). When I arrived home, the toilet was installed but had a large crack in the base of the toilet. I contacted the plumber (whom I've known for many years and who has worked on my home and many client's homes) and asked about it - he indicated that there was no crack there when he left the house. I texted him a photo and he said that, yes, that would be problem. Also, the tank appeared to lean forward towards the bowl at an awkward angle. The plumber also noted that bolts were missing from the packaging and the decorative bolt caps were also missing (maybe a return item?). While he may have overtightened the bolts, he indicated that he's never cracked a toilet in 30 years by over-tightening, so it may have been a defect. I had him install a new toilet and trashed the new toilet that had just been installed, as I had no way of knowing if it was s defect or faulty installation.
