Answer:
You don't understand the SAE sheet metal guage system. 16 guage is the thicker of the 3. It is 1/16" thick or .062". I'm a metallurgist you can take my word to the bank. However it is common knowledge.

The lower the gauge number, the thicker and better quality the material. 16-gauge is better than 18- or 20-guage.

Answer:
Dear Katie, thank you for your question. The KHU101-23 only comes in 16-gauge. 16-gauge sinks are stronger and more durable than 18 or 20 gauge sinks. An easy rule of thumb is, the lower the number of the gauge, the thicker and better the stainless steel is.

Answer:
yes, you can remove them if you want but need to be careful not to break. I leaved mine because they protect my sink from scratching. I never have problem cleaning my sink once a week. I lift the grid half way side e up to the right when I clean the left side of the sink . Then move the grid to the left and clean the right side. Just as simple as that.

Hi Lou,
Thanks for your question.
Our bottom grids are removable and very easy to clean. We also recommend washing by hand and using a toothbrush to get in the corners of the grid if need be.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. Our sinks are compatible with many garbage disposals provided the garbage disposal would fit into a 3.5 inch diameter hole opening. We also recommend using the flange that comes with the garbage disposal as we currently do not manufacture them. Please let us know if you would have any additional questions.

All-in-One Undermount Stainless Steel 23 in. Single Bowl Kitchen Sink is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from HEAVY Duty upscale sink I am thrilled to have a new stainless sink. The Kraus brand cares enough about the product to include everything that is necessary for proper installation. A template is included, as well as printed directions and mounting brackets for the undermount design. I can't say enough about how heavy duty this sink is, with insulation around the exterior, which helps prevent that "tin" sound went working within the sink. It comes with a very solid wire rack dish stand for the base of the sink, as well as a basket strainer drain to prevent food from clogging the sink. Even a Kraus towel is included as a bonus. The whole product was covered in a cloth bag to protect the stainless from scratches. I love this sink, the size and the depth. It is very deep and could even be used as a laundry tub in a smaller laundry room area. This is a very upscale product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! The sink is awesome. It was easy to install, it looks great, it has been easy to clean, no water splashes on the counter because of the depth. The first thing everyone raves about in our new kitchen is the sink! It has an industrial look but it takes up less space than a double sink. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have sink Great sink! Not only does it look great but I love how deep the sink is. I was worried it was going to be too small but it is the perfect size. I can fit multiple pots and pans. Also the grate at the bottom of the sink is amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best quality I have ever seen the sink hasn't been installed yet, but the quality is unbelievable. I could only get a 23" to fit my 30" cabinet, but I was very willing to sacrifice a 27" sink for this beautiful, heavy duty 23" Kraus sink
