Customer Questions & Answers

Can this sink be cut into a granite top? Partially recessed?

Asked by: Homer
Hi Homer, Thanks for your inquiry. It can be done, however, this is not something we would recommend with this style sink as it is intended for top mount / sit on counter top.

Hi Claudia, Thanks for your inquiry. We recommend placing beads of waterproof silicone under the sink - around the perimeter to help secure it to the counter top. Thanks

Suggested opening of the countertop hole is 5 inches, did you allow that?

Asked by: PM
Thanks for your inquiry. We recommend a 5 inch hole in the countertop, to ensure there is enough room for the concave washer to be pressed up against the sink directly - creating an air tight seal. You can also use a 3.5" or 4" hole as well. Thanks

Will this work on a counter top that is 16 1/2 inches in width. I have room to mount the faucet on the side
Asked by: kim
Hi Kim, The sink measures 14 1/4" front to back and 18 3/4" left to right. It will probably be a tight fit for the faucet with a countertop of 16 1/2"

If I sit this sink on a granite countertop can I get by with a 1-3/4" diameter hole for the drain or does the sink base require something larger?

Asked by: Jerry
Hello, Thank you for your question. The recommended hole size for Kraus ceramic sinks is 5 inches. You can get away with a 3.5 to 5 inch hole. The pop up drain washers need to go up against the actual underside of the sink. If you have a 1.75 inch hole, you will not be able to install it that way. Thank you.

Customer Reviews

Rectangular Ceramic Vessel Sink in White with Ramus Faucet in Satin Nickel is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value - great looking! Installation was very simple, and so far we are completely happy with it. Since it's only been installed a week, we can't comment on long term performance, but it looks great and the size is very comfortable. Love the pop-up drain! If I were to find any negative about it, it would be the design of the faucet because when you turn it off with wet hands, water drips onto the spout and leaves some spots. But that would be the case for any lever faucet I think, unless the lever was on the side. And the appearance and function of the faucet otherwise outweighs the water spots. Definitely recommend it, especially for the price. And Home Depot shipped it so fast we had it within days of ordering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean/modern look This vessel sink works and looks great. The faucet is nice and works very well. The drain is nice and big, but was difficult to install without it leaking. I installed the drain as instructed, which was easy, but because the sink drain opening is not perfectly round, the seal couldn't get a water tight seal. Therefore, it leaked. I then used plumber's putty around the drain valve/pipe below the seal to get a water tight seal. It's been working great. The faucet was very easy to install. All the finishes are very good so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful The sink and faucet are just lovely. Even though I had to install the faucet behind the sink instead on the side due to a draw in the vanity, it still flows the water into the sink and doesn't splash the mirror. My plumber liked it so much, he recommended it to another client. The powder room looks great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built sink, well-matched hardware! Bought this online so the first time I saw it was when it arrived. I was a bit nervous about shopping for one like this but as HD is pretty good about returns I felt comfortable enough to pull the trigger. Sink and faucet exceeded expectations in terms of build quality and appearance. Pop up sink drain is a nice feature (the vessel sink we removed did not have one), the faucet compliments the sink very nicely. I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't have much room under the faucet (I wash my hair in the sink sometimes) but there's just enough. No less than with a traditional sink. An unexpected bonus I've found of going with a vessel sink is we got a little extra countertop space behind it that's useable for bottles of goo/etc. as it's partially concealed by the sink. Sure, the amount of countertop real estate you have is more or less identical to a traditional undermount sink, but it just looks better if it's sitting behind the vessel. I did find it somewhat difficult to get the faucet mounted to the countertop (granite) tight enough where it couldn't be twisted around. Eventually I just decided people probably shouldn't be trying to spin the faucet around anyway :-) Otherwise it was very easy to install, and as it's a top-mount sink I saved about $200 by not having to have my countertop fabricator make a cutout for a sink (made a vanity top with some leftover granite from the kitchen) Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eactly the look we wanted! The Krause sink and faucet offered the perfect look and function as we wanted to upgrade our outdated bath. It looks great, was very easy to install, and functions perfectly. It worked perfectly with the antique dresser that we converted into a vanity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I ordered this sink and faucet online for my master bedroom. I had ideally wanted a trough sink for a rustic look. I was unable to find exactly what I had in mind and then stumbled across this sink. I get lots of compliments on the sink and faucet. I had my plumber install it and he didn't complain so I assume it was an easy install!
