Customer Questions & Answers

Does this pull out hose spray and stream? I saw on another site that it is stream only.

Asked by: Kristin
It does not have a sprayer but when you pull it out, for me the normal water stream is sufficient for washing out deep pots or bottles.

Single-Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet in Chrome is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my favorite The good thing: * Water flows nicely from this faucet. * It looks and feels like a quality faucet. The not-so-good-things: * When the faucet is pulled out, the retraction weight isn't good enough to get the faucet seated well. You have to assist. * Because the neck is curved, you don't get good distance with the faucet fully extended. I like to fill my coffee pot by extending the hose, but it doesn't extend far enough. * I worry when those unfamiliar use this faucet because it's set up backwards from other side handled faucets I've used before. With a right-hand set up, it's hot water when you pull forward and cold when you push back. * I wish it had a spray setting too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet The faucet and its components were well packed in the box and the installation was very straight forward. It worked well right out of the gate. It would have been nice if it included an adapter to use in a 3-hole sink, but I'm being a bit picky there. Nice easy operation with the single lever and the pull-out head works well to wash down the sink. No adjustments or configuration necessary. Just plumb it in and you are good to go. The chrome finish and the style and design are attractive, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent with brand reputation This is a very nice faucet that provides a modern look for anyone who is a fan of the style. Installation was about on par with every other faucet I've come across (easy enough on your own but way easier if you hire someone). The pull down head is a great feature. I think I prefer it to having a separate sprayer outside of the faucet itself. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. I'd recommend it to people I care about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really nice Leave it to Kraus to come through with both looks and build. This has a really unique faucet head, with an almost feminine look. I have not used the soap dispenser, I had a problem with one discoloring my granite in the past so I am afraid it will happen again. The chrome looks great with a dark composite sink and the two toned light dark granite it is with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Faucet This pull-down kitchen faucet was easy to install. It has a good flow and the pull-down works well. It has a much smaller spray head than most, which makes it look more sleek.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from this does *not* have a dual function spray head, as described Before I get to my impressions on the faucet, I need to stress right at the beginning that the product description on Home Depot’s site is wrong, in a fundamental way. Hopefully the person approving this review will have this fixed. The description reads (in part) “For flexible functionality, this pull-down kitchen faucet features an ergonomic dual function spray head with an aerated stream and powerful spray.” This is *not* the case. The KPF-1622 pulldown head is single function only. I called Kraus and was told that for dual function, I should buy the KPF-1621, or other models. I asked if the head/pulldown hose from another model could be purchased and swapped out, but was told that they do not sell parts separately. This is quite annoying since I chose this faucet to replace an older faucet and separate spray hose, with the intention of *keeping* the spray functionality. I installed this for my tenants, who are now upset that I “upgraded” their faucet and took away the spray function. If this were not part of the Seeds Program, I would be returning it and getting a different model that has the functionality that was promised. So, if having a dual function spray head is important to you, go look at other faucets. If not, read on. Now, the product review: It’s a lovely little faucet. In fact, it’s so lovely (see the pictures) that it makes the rest of that sink look drab by comparison. If you’ve got an older looking sink, you may want to keep that in mind. The installation was a bit of a pain, but I attribute that more to the presence of the garbage disposal under this sink than to any design flaw with the faucet. In fact, the design of the screws in the locking ring is a major improvement over a standard nut that has to be tightened down all the way with a wrench (in an area that usually doesn’t have room to get the wrench at the nut). If you’re installing a faucet without pulling up the sink, that’s one less headache in getting the faucet to sit tight to the sink. However, the presence of a lot of tightly packed plumbing under the sink (see pic) means that the weight on the pulldown line has to thread it’s way past obstacles on the way up (if pulled out more than halfway) and then gets hung up on the way down (requiring reaching under the sink to free it). Again, not a design flaw per se, but a very real concern if your sink has any feed or drain lines that this weight may hang up on, or just bounce against repeatedly during use. So, all in all, a mixed bag. It’s a good-looking, durable, small to mid-sized single handle kitchen faucet. The lever can be mounted in any position (i mounted it left-side, for reasons, but could easily have done so in the middle or to the right). It’s got a 360 swivel, so if you it would also work for a center mount between a 2-part sink. The installation would have been a lot easier if there wasn't a disposal in the way, or if the sink had been taken up from the counter during installation. As mentioned, it doesn’t have the dual function spray. And if you have tight access directly below the faucet hole, you may find your weight for the pulldown line hanging up on the plumbing under the sink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy duty faucet upgrade This faucet upgrade feels solid and is demonstrated in its construction. Full size 24 inch waterlines are included. The faucet is 15 inches tall installed and reaches 8 inches from the centerline of the installation hole. The pull out aerator is all metal and does NOT have a button to change between spray and stream. The plastic coated weight holds the aerator in place, but if not positioned properly may allow the aerator to hang loose. Installation requires two wrenches to insure each line is tightly attached, which can be difficult in crowded cabinets. Based on the suggested pricing and features, the lack of a spray button is a deal breaker on my recommending this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very solid Faucet I like that the nozzle is NOT plastic, nice and heavy, good quality. Easy install.
