Answer:
Hi Cat,
Thanks for your inquiry.
No, there isn't a water save installed in this faucet.
However, you may want to inspect the hose adapter assembly for any debris which may be attributing to low water pressure if something has been stuck in it.
Please feel free to contact Kraus Customer Service directly as we would love to hear from you.

What does "adjustable flow rate" mean? Does it apply to the whole faucet or does that mean that the pull down part has infinite settings for the spray

Thanks for your inquiry.
The flow rate for our KPF-2230 is 1.8 Gallons per Minute or GPM and is not adjustable.
Also, this faucet features the option for both an aerated stream and a spray feature as well.

I had a new granite countertop and used this same type of faucet. It looks beautiful. Just be sure to tighten the faucet securely when you install it.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall I am happy I was looking for a replacement oil rubbed bronze faucet and thought to try this one. The reviews I read were pretty right on. The stream is forceful with little water pressure. Does take getting used to. I don't necessarily like the angle of the water stream. When the sprayer is on it shoots towards me. Again, the pressure needs to be throttled back or else water goes everywhere. The unit itself is much better than what we had. Hope this lasts longer than 5 years. Overall, I am pleased and would recommend this product. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice faucet. The faucet is nice looking. The handle works really great. July 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I should return it, but don't want to install another Looks great, water pressure is great, but the pull down feature doesn't have a wide reach and it doesn't immediately retract after use. I have to pull down a few times before it retracts, and I'm fearful that eventually it will just hang there August 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Water Pressure! Our old 1980's builder's faucet finally started leaking. It was time for both a replacement and an upgrade. This faucet fits the bill. It is very modern looking, was easy to install and also very easy to use. Installation was a breeze. No odd tools or extra hardware were required. The sprayer also has a very strong spray. It feels like the water pressure is better with this faucet than with the old one. It took approximately an hour to remove the old and install the new. You can see by looking at the picture that it is much nicer looking than our old sink. August 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking easy to use faucet Great looking well made faucet. It came with everything except the supply lines. Installation is easy as long as you do not attach everything before finalizing it. Once the connections are made and if the hole in your sink is small like mine then you are kinda stuck and installation can become challenging, except for that installation is fairly straight forward. The pressure is great and it is very easy to operate single-handedly. The button on the sprayer head easily switches between stream and spray and is easy to operate. A good buy. April 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kraus Means Quality! Do more with your sink! I was able to install this new faucet in my kitchen sink without any prior skills or plumbing training. Though I am skilled in this type of installation, I want to stress how easy the install was. If you can take your old faucet off, you can install this one with ease. The one recommendation I want to make is that you take your time and clean your sink as best as you can. You want this faucet to be flush with the sink so that future splashes don't creep under your base plate and cause drips and funk buildup. Use a good quality silicone to seal the base plate to the sink. Once you dry fit all the parts, proceed to follow the installation instructions to the letter. There should not be any extra parts when done. FINGER TIGHTEN and don't over turn anything. You don't want to crack your fittings. Lastly, turn on the water slowly so that you can check for leaks. I feel that Kraus made a quality faucet and I would recommend this model if you need a sprayer and angled faucet in one. May 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Look and Finish Installed this faucet in the kitchen and it looks and functions perfectly. It was easy to install about 30 minutes total to remove and install the new faucet. The product is packaged very good and everything for the install in included but the hot and cold water supplies line. This did give me a change to try ,homedepot's twist, click, seal supply lines which were easy to use in tight places without a wench, just hand tighten. The faucet works and the satin finish looks great. February 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking faucet but the instructions could be better. This faucet is nicely finished and works well, except that the sprayer won't retract the last 1/4" under it's own power - you have to push it back into the spout. The handle works smoothly and is easy to adjust. The water flow is powerful and can be switched between stream and spray. I had some issues with the instructions. The diagrams are small and confusing. The installation steps are incomplete - for example the exact parts and order of the mounting hardware aren't listed anywhere except in the replacement parts diagram on the last page. The faucet can be mounted without the cover plate but that isn't mentioned in the instructions. I asked customer support about mounting without the cover plate and got a reply within an hour, so customer service is exemplary. Another installation issue is that the copper stubs that the supply lines connect to are short and have a label saying you have to hold back on the stubs while tightening the supply lines to prevent twisting of the stubs. This means you need to use two wrenches under the sink, one horizontally just below the faucet on the stubs. I was able to install the faucet with the sink removed, but if the sink couldn't be removed this would be a difficult maneuver. The limited lifetime warranty contains the clause "All KRAUS products must be installed by a licensed professional plumber or contractor to avoid any improper use or installation." I'm not sure what this implies, but it seems to discourage having done it myself. March 3, 2015
