Would this tighten a wheel hub axle nut?

Looking for an easy fix for tightening my axle nut, which needs to be at 107 foot pounds and this tool says it goes up to 190 foot pounds. Been doing front end work all by hand and at this point I need something stronger than I. Just wondering if this would work.
Asked by: Mini

12-Volt 1/2 in. Impact Wrench Kit (Tool-Only) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stressing Dad It is exactly what I wanted. I bought to keep in my daughter's car in case of a flat. It will make it easier for her to use than a lug wrench. Also, safer. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best There Is Couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase. Used it immediately on my 2007 Honda whose lug nuts have been tightened by an auto shop's impact wrench and virtually impossible to loosen by just brute muscle force. It truly delivered! A little bit disconcerting at first, with all its recoiling and clack! clack! sounds, but all the while it's doing its intended job of loosening those pesky lug nuts. Took about 10-15 seconds to work on a very tight lug nut. I don't intend to use this tool to tighten my lug nuts, relying instead on torque wrench for the recommended torque spec. A must-have tool in every home garage, more so for those who travel a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Appears to be a robust tool. I was surprised to see how the high torque is developed--enough to break loose the 100 foot pound nuts on our Mustang. The electric motor spins up to its maximum speed for several seconds and than the flywheel whacks the anvil very hard. A few more seconds go by as the flywheel spins up to full speed again and then whack.! I am impressed that the manufacturer has made the tool sturdy enough to endure such action over a 3 year warranty period. I bought the Home Depot extended warranty to get 5 years of total coverage. I plan to use it if I rotate my own tires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed!!! When I first tried this tool it didn't seem to have power.(just like some of the reviews, thought it was a piece of junk). I checked my cigarette lighter socket and that was the issue. Once I fixed that it worked flawlessly. Cranked those suckers right off!!! It sounds really cheap but who cares, it's a tool, not a speaker, and it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked AMAZINGLY great ... so far, I've used it twice Some say that such devices burn out after a few uses so I hope that does not happen with a device sold through H Depot. This thing is a shoulder saver. It works well. I think about 4 "clicks" to tighten match the 100 ft lb torque needed for my vehicle lug nuts ... so if you get one, try to assess how many "clicks" can get your lugs tightened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for on the road tire changing A 12-Volt impact wrench doesn't sound very powerful, but it is. We used it to change a tire. Because it doesn't work as fast as a higher powered impact does, it takes a few seconds to work up to each impact. Because of this slower speed, after we put the lug nuts back on, a big doubter went and got a lug wrench and tried to tighten the lugs more, but couldn't. He was surprised and impressed. Slow for daily use, but for a side of the road constant power tool, it is an excellent choice. Good tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for having in car I found that you kind of have to finesse it. Can't use like an air or cordless impact. Just put it on lugnut, don't put your weight into, hold it and hit trigger. Has an odd way of kind of winding up, then hitting until it comes loose. Easier than wrestling with a lug wrench. If you want something that works like a regular impact, you're going to have pay out about 4 or 5 times what this costs.
