is it available for 1 3/8" holes to drill a stainless steel sink?

Asked by: gerald
Not this particular one. You can get one to reach that diameter that they may or may not have in stock at your local store but be prepared to pay a lot. You can look at one step bit going from $60 to $120, or a set from $120 to $350. If 1 3/8" is the exact size you need and only for a few holes you can go the cheap route and get a bi-metal hole saw for a lot cheaper. Don't expect many cuts with them and watch the torx and damage and wandering on thin metal. Clearly a much cleaner and faster hole with the step bit, but expect to pay for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal. I have been using this step bit at work for almost a year. I drill metal control panels and make about 100 holes each week. It is not as sharp as it was new, but is still very effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit Never bought a step bit before. Like a hot knife through butter. Seems to have remained sharp although I've only made a few holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best price I used to use these uni-bits in the electrical trade all the time for punching holes. There really is no faster tool for making knockouts or anchor holes in sheet metal. I bought this one for making clean holes in plastic maple sap buckets. Works great for that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality and cheap. Good product, excellent price. On the down side, it was shipped from California to me in Ohio in a box big enough to fit a large microwave! Not exactly economical. However, good product for my DIY needs.
