CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super easy to purchase online and have waiting at the store! I am using this product in conjunction with Kellogg's Raised Bed and Potting mix, as well as some coir mixed in to lighten the mix for my containers, as I am physically disabled and must use a medical scooter to get around now. I am using both standard plastic containers as well as plastic grow bags. I like the fact that I don't have to go to the store to pick out what I want/need, it's all right there on the website with detailed descriptions as well. It makes it sooo much easier for me that way! I'm having a pretty good season right now, yes, in parts of AZ we can grow quite a few veggies and herbs as we have pretty mild winters in the Phoenix Metro area. I do have to say, will all the things that are inside this soil, it appears to be pretty nice soil. I do have to say also that I will not be getting any more of the "Raised Bed and Potting Mix" that Kellogg makes as it had a fine coating of mold on the soil when I opened the bag and I've had a lot of problems with fungus gnats since using it. I've had to spray with Neem oil several times already, which seems to help. But they keep coming back. Generally I like the product line from Kellogg's. Very good price as well. December 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Did well I'm a first time vegetable gardener. I used the Patio Plus potting soil to grow some Jalapeños, Poblano Peppers, Bell Peppers, and three types of Tomatoes (Sweet 100, Bush & Celebrity), in five gallon buckets. I was pleased with the results. They all did well. Good yield. I plan on using it again. October 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I Love This Stuff! I have been buying and using this product since I discovered it a couple of years ago. It is a great value, is useable right from the bag and grew some terrific vegetables and herbs. I have found nothing else this good anywhere close to the same price. The organic goodies in it will feed your plants for several weeks with no added fertilizers. April 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good soil for the price I used this soil for the first time this past summer. It worked well. The only problems I noticed was mushrooms growing in one area of my garden and the soil does not seem to hold water as well as another soil I used. A representative from Kellogg told me that the soil does not have mushrooms. Mushroom spores are in the air and mushrooms can grow anywhere under the right conditions especially in shaded and moist areas. The soil where the mushrooms grew was shaded and therefore almost always wet since it was watered every day. The representative also told me that the Kellogg's soil has the right amount of peat moss and the reason it didn't seem to hold water was me over watering. Not sure about that but I did amend my soil with peat moss which could have contributed to the mushroom problem. Next year, I will reduce my watering and not add peat moss and see what happens. Overall, I believe the soil is good quality and excellent value for the price. I will definitely buy it again. October 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Consistently High Quality Year after year I use Patio Plus for my container gardening and get excellent results. I have never found any garbage or anything else that doesn't belong in organic potting soil. The quality of the ingredients in this mix warrant a much higher price, yet it's still cheaper than Miracle Gross that everyone thinks is so great. This soil almost REFUSES to get soggy - it drains well to an even dampness. The people who are afraid to try Kellog soils are the same people who try to plant in containers with garden soil and wonder why their plants are dying. Please, if you're planting outdoors in containers and you're using or considering Miracle Grow, give Patio Plus a try. You will be astonished just opening the bag. May 29, 2014
