I had originally wanted a PDY Lift-n -Lock, but PDY has gone out of business and there is no stock available for purchase. As an alternate, I chose this Keter 3 Drawer Tool Box. Like the PDY box when the handle is up, the drawers are locked in place. Unlike the PDY box, there are no compartments in the drawers and the lid so I had to make my own out of poplar and masonite which allowed me to do a custom job. I like the fact that the drawers are on roller slides unlike the PDY box. If you are into R/C and want a great storage box this is the one if you do not mind making your own compartments.

The box is made of flimsy plastic, and it's impossible to open it without the metal latches literally falling off of the box and having to be put back on every time. When the box is closed, the drawers won't fall open spontaneously, but it takes very little effort to pull them open by hand. I regret buying this box and will be returning it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jeff lightweight and good for organizing
I bought this tool box for my wife for her dog grooming tools, so far she likes it. What I didn't realize when I bought this online is that the top compartment is more shallow than I thought. The drawer locking mechanism feel very cheap but it works.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Craig Great design but fragile material
I bought the Keter 3 drawer tool box as a Christmas present for my daughter to use to store all her cake decoration supplies. The design and weight of the box is working out very well for her to store many of decorating tools. The space in the drawers is limited a bit by the plastic locking pin that runs through the back center of each drawer. The locking pin is engaged by the closing of the top cover, so you could use a lock on the cover to prevent access to any part of the tool box. I was looking at other tool boxes, but since my daughter is young I did not want to buy her a heavy metal toolbox and that is why this box seemed perfect. The only issue I have is the tool box is made from a plastic material that is too fragile considering it's designed for holding tools. The lid of this toolbox cracked when I loaded it into the trunk of my car and accidentally hit the toolbox with the trunk lid. The toolbox was sitting on top of other items and just high enough to come in contact when I closed the trunk lid. I've have other metal and plastic toolboxes for over twenty years now that have not broke or cracked yet, but this one didn't survive a month without having an issue.
