Answer:
Comes with a heavy duty plastic mount to be screwed to the wall; no screws are included. There is a holder which tightly fits around the extinguisher neck and a strap which clicks in front to hold it. Somewhat difficult to close strap, but is secure once closed.

The gross weight of one of my extinguishers is 3 pounds 10 ounces. Answer:
I've had a similar unit in my Pick ups for 40 years and a newer one in my SUV for 3 years. I would not be without one in my vehicles. Just be sure the extinguisher is in a place where it won't be damaged or accidentally discharged, but is easy to get to.

Hello Mike. As long as the extinguisher is secured in a secured bracket and is stored between minus 40 degrees to positive 120 degrees, the extinguisher should be fine. We are Kidde product support at 1-800-880-6788. Thank you for your interest.

Is this extinguisher rechargeable once it is used? Also, not clear if it comes with a hanger (for each one in the 2-pack?).

They come with hangers and they are not supposed to be recharged, I believe. They are so cheap, recharging is a bit moot anyway.

Yes, it came with hangers. It would probably be cheaper to just buy new extinguishers at $15 each then refill them.

Hello Manny. In reference to your question, this extinguisher is a disposable one-time use extinguisher. Once you pull the pin, you use the extinguisher up and then purchase a new one. Each one will come with a plastic strap bracket. If you have any questions, please call us at Kidde Product Support at 1-800-880-6788. Thank you for your interest

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Much Needed Purchase After purchasing a home, I needed to buy a fire extinguisher. The two-pack deal was just what I needed! So one extinguisher is in the kitchen and one stays in the basement. I pray that I will not need to use them! September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lots of Reviews for Great Value but Never had to Use it: Heres a review from someone who had to. If these were made in the USA with a greater quality of handle and mounting bracket they would receive higher stars. I have mounted these at all entry points to my garage, both entry points to the kitchen and one in each bathroom( odd but think BOYS). I have had to use these a total of seven times. Yes seven. Over the course of 12 years. No my insurer doesn't need to know. 4 times in the garage with random projects, one time while in the driveway working on a vehicle, once in the kitchen and once in the bathroom from a candle. These put all the fires out, in an instant and prevented a bad situation from becoming an emergency crisis. Extremely cheap insurance at the price point. August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good package deal Ineeded 2 extinguishers for our new boat. This package with brackets included was perfect August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap insurance I've never had a fire in my house or garage, but everyone should be aware that accidents happen. I have mounted one of these units outside so it is available to help a neighbor in addition to protection for my garage and the rear rooms of my house. The other unit is mounted for easy access to my kitchen and fireplace. I hope I never use these units, but just seeing them gives me a feeling of security that is easily worth the money. I have seen Kidde extinguishers protecting places all my life and I am sure these units are durable and reliable and will work when or if needed. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value. Good price for two fire extinguishers. Saved about $10.00. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fine deal Obviously I ahve not had to use the product, but past experience with Kidde tells me that the charge will last for years. Great package price - one in garage and one in kitchen. August 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple to mount, safety enchancement These fire extinguishers are light weight but still provide all the safety value of having a fire extinguisher handy in case of a fire starting. Our insurance company required them. Our carpenter easily mounted them. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great deal and price Very good quality and excellent price. Must have stationed around the house. Saved me when I had a grease fire on BBQ. July 19, 2016
