Answer:
Hi. I'm not sure of the operating temp range, but I believe the specs are published on the manufacturer's website. I would think this unit would function at temps less than 68d. You might try calling the manufacturer as an alternative.
Sorry I couldn't be more definitive.

Hello Dusty, If mounting on the wall, we recommend mounting at eye level. Carbon monoxide alarms do not have to be near the ceiling. Thank you.

No. CO has about the same density as air. It should be mounted near the natural gas appliance that you are using.

Answer:
The unit's peak level memory will display levels between 11 and 999 PPM. However, PPM levels below 30 will not trigger the alarm. Concentrations of CO between 1 and 30 PPM can often occur in normal, everyday conditions; per the provided instructions.

Worry Free 10-Year Lithium Ion Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Digital Display is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will Not Operate at Temperatures Lower than 68 Degrees This unit is one month old. It started chirping and flashing low battery at 4am this morning. The manual says to warm the unit up to greater than 68 degrees and the low battery alarm might go away (if not, it says to get a new unit). I'm not turning the heat on in my house in July just for this CO alarm! If the unit had a low operating temperature of 60 or less, then I could see myself giving it a higher rating, but 68 degrees is not cold. The warranty doesn't cover battery-related problems and you can't change the pre-installed lithium ion battery, so this unit is pretty much worthless to me in cooler weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worry Free Purchase & Pickup Along with the "worry free" 10 year battery and the digital display, the smart phone app purchase and pickup in my local store was phenomenal. Less than two minutes on line to place the order, I simply walked into my Fridley Home Depot and walked out in less than 5 minutes. GREAT SERVICE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good value Since this is a CO detector and I hope to never experience it, I can't say whether or not this detector works. But it was highly recommended to me by my electrician and appears to be doing what it is supposed to be doing--displaying digitally the amount of CO detected--which is 0.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carbon Monoxide Alarm I was replacing a unit that had lived out its days. I did not have to drill any new holes, this unit fit exactly where the old unit was located. Seems to be functioning well but have only had it a couple of weeks. We will see how it works as the ten years goes by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy directions and installation I purchased the product primarily because of the ten-year lithium ion battery and the digital display. Both of which makes the detector truly worry free!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Monitor A very impressive CO monitor. I like the digital display because you can actually see the concentration of CO in the atmosphere on the display. The 10 year battery is a great feature and ensures that your home is always being monitored for dangerous levels of CO. Installing is a breeze. Mark the hole in the wall with the base as a template drill and fasten with supplied anchors. When you slide the monitor onto the base it actuates a small switch and cuts on automatically. This is a well thought out feature that prevents it from accidently being turned off. If you have gas heat, water heater or appliances you won't find a nicer monitor to protect you and your family.
