Customer Reviews

36 in. x 80 in. 5-Bar Premium Stainable Screen Door is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk The door came will packaged and protected. Seems more money was spent on packaging than on the product. Advertised as 11/8 inch thick, but it is only 1 inch; supposed to have an aluminum screen but came with vinyl. Once installed on th hinges it soon began to sag; the joints were are too weak to support the wood frame. This required reinforcement with angle iron. I bought this door with the expectation that a stain finish could be applied. This was not possible because the wood had imperfections, including holes that were filled with wood filler. I had to paint it instead. I could have purchased a lower price door that was of comparable construction.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this screen door Poor quality wood, with gaps between seams. Required woodfill in multiple places. Also, screen is not removable, making painting a difficult task. If you buy a screen door, make sure the screen is removable, for painting or replacement!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not good The door was warped which made it extremely difficult to install, In over 40 years of painting I have never seen wood take stain like this door. It soaked in immediately and was uneven. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Coming apart at seams! PROS: Its made out of decent wood and its relatively cheap. CONS: The door hung nicely for a couple months. I had it near perfectly placed with in the door frame. Now its weight is pulling it apart at the seams and it sticks terribly. I guess ill have to put some hardware on it to hold the frame together? Sheesh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wood screen door We had this up for 1 day and it warped and became out of square!! before he could get it primered and painted. Should of bought a metal screen door!! We special ordered this wood screen door, paid almost $150 for it. Should of spent a extra $100 and got something that would last-- disappointed for sure.
