Answer:
Thank you for your question. Our weight bags are intended for sand or rocks. We do not have any testing completed for cement, so we do not recommend it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Return to Purchase other Product Nylon bag material tore, velcro straps attached by single stitch ripped, wind blew away tents with sand bags. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These are great. I am using them to weigh down my balcony chairs. Filled them up with 50lbs of sand. They have been left out in rain and sun. So far no issues. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap; cheap;cheap!!!!!! Filled bags with sand zippers popped apart on 2 of them after filled and the other 2 were broken before i could even fill. May 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Canopy Weight Bags Good quality product. Price is right. (4) sets of (2) bags. Holds plenty of fill. I used pea gravel. It took 2 bags (I think about 30 pounds each) to fill the eight tubes. Will provide plenty of weight. April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No movement on a windy day We have a 10'x10' standalone canopy at our camp site. We set it up when we arrive and we take it down when we leave. It was only held down by four 10" +/- spikes in the ground that seemed to do OK but I wouldn't trust them in a high wind. We filled the 4 bags and they seemed to take 80lb to 90lb of sand combined. It was a windy weekend at the campground, windy enough to cause me to roll up the canopy on the trailer but the canopy with the bags held up just fine. When we took the canopy down the sand seemed to have settled and could probably be topped off again. Maybe the final amount would be closer to 100lb of sand total for all four bags. May 26, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by weight bags I have a 10x10 canopy and have tried the bags you're asking about. You'll be lucky to get 20 lbs in a bag using sand. While this may be ok for light winds I found that I had to double up to hold the canopy in anything more than a light breeze. I recommend 40 lbs on each corner of a canopy to be reasonably safe. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what i needed !! Filled our weights with sand and they work great, they fit snug on lower legs of canopy or could be hung. June 9, 2015
