After searching web site for a turkey fryer, and finding this item on that list, I purchased it for my son-in-law.. When the item arrived, the shipping box was labeled "Do not use for frying turkeys", very worrisome. We rechecked the order information and confirmed that Home Depot sold it as a turkey fryer, went ahead and cooked our Thanksgiving bird with no problems. Why is the item labeled like this?

This purchase was made so I could boil lobster for my wife's birthday. It took about 45 minutes to get a 2/3 full pot of cold water boiling. I did six 1 1/4 lb lobster at a time. Probably could have done a couple of more but I was just splitting the number to be cooked; got to give them some room.
I was happy with the recovery times of 15 minutes between putting the lobster in and getting back to a full boil. I did not seem to use very much propane.
Pot and burner arrived a couple of days earlier. Previous reviews noted minor dents from shipping and I had the same experience. These must be grouped in another box for shipping to the store. The display box is just to thin to protect the aluminium pot. I must stress that the dents are minor.

The pot and lid are flimsy it will take very little to dent or bend. The basket and handle are fine and sits off the bottom of the pot perfectly for liquid to steam without food items being in water. The instructions to assemble the burner stand may as well been written in Chinese it offered no help use picture on the box to assemble. I like the adjustable regulator to keep the heat where you need it. This cooker works well for every now and then cookouts it’s light and easy to store

I bought this cooker for Cajun crab boils and it performed very well. The first time I used it I cooked for about 25 people and had them all fed in about 1 1/2 hours. It took me a while to get my water to boil because i did not have the regulator on the cooker all the way turned up but once i put it on full blast I would say I had 7 gallons of water boiling in about 1/2 hour. I fit 20 ears of corn, 6 pounds of potatoes and 6 pounds of sausage in the first boil session then stored it in a big cooler to keep warm. Then in the second boil session I Cooked 20 pounds of shrimp and 10 pounds of crab. The strainer basket of this cooker was a crucial for draining all this food, it was the key selling point for me. If you are going to cook for more than 15 people at a time I would go with the 80qt cooker. For 30 to 5 pounds of food at time this cooker is excellent and is a great value.

Purchased this product to do a seafood boil while camping. The water boiled quickly and the pot was large enough to fit lots of seafood. The assembly Manual was not product specific but was able to figure it out.
