Customer Questions & Answers

Is there a filter that can remove salt from the water that is in the water from using a water softner?

Asked by: DLH
Water softeners use salt as a cleaning solution for the resin bed. After being used to clean the resin, the salt water is rinsed out of the resin and goes down the drain.

What size hole is needed to mount the faucet to counter top?

I checked the listed specifications and it is not shown!
Asked by: Gary
The hole size needs to be large enough for the 1/4-inch supply line, but small enough that the faucet covers it (faucet is 1-3/4 inches). It is recommended to be around 1/2 inch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't seal, poor design, lousy installation. We have had an older faucet that we had been using for years with our RO system. Since we recently purchased a very nice new water faucet, we wanted a nice RO faucet to match. After some looking around, I settled on this faucet .. it looked nice in the pictures and got good reviews. Well, we also have a very nice and expensive older Elkay stainless steel extra deep kitchen sink. The old RO faucet was mounted there and the new faucet was going in the same location. At least that was the plan. Turns out that they didn't really think things through when designing this faucet. There's an o-ring on the bottom of the valve body that would seal and work well if you have a very small hole (like in stone) and are not using the included decorative metal flange .. that's where the design planning stopped on their part. 1) There is absolutely NO WAY to seal between the faucet body and the decorative flange .. nada. And the decorative flange has a groove where the valve body sits that is just slightly larger in diameter than the valve body, leaving a really convenient place for water and stuff to collect. 2) The bottom of the flange has an o-ring to seal to the sink surface, but only if your hole is 1.25" or smaller. With my sink's holes being 1.5", the o-ring was 100% useless. 3) The too thin plastic washer they use underneath to hold the faucet in place is exactly 1.5" in diameter, which just so happens to be the exact size of all the pre-drilled holes in my sink, thus making it impossible to mount the faucet. Fortunately, the decorative flange is just slightly larger than 1.5" in diameter, so centered it just fit on top, but it wouldn't seal. So, I had to reuse the very thick (more than twice as thick as the whimpy plastic washer they supplied) and properly sized plastic washer from my original RO faucet to hold this new RO faucet in place. As it was completely impossible to seal this faucet between the decorative flange and the faucet body, as well as the o-ring being too small in diameter to fit the size of my predrilled sink holes, I decided to fill the entire cavity between the faucet, decorative flange and the old thick plastic washer with plumbers putty. I place a large amount in the void area and just cleaned up all the squished out putty after tightening the faucet in place. So the faucet looks nice and seems to work well. But unless you have a drilled hole through stone, this may be a nightmare to install. Had I known about the issues before hand, I would have never purchased this faucet. So all that in hand, I tried to contact the company to complain. No one I spoke to was willing to talk to me about it. The only person that could help was their "buyer" and he was "away" and they weren't sure when he would be available. 100% useless customer service. So the quality is okay, the sealing design only works for one type of install, the install was all but impossible without using parts they didn't supply, and their customer service was useless. Thus, this is getting a 2 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement reverse osmosis faucet We upgraded to granite in our kitchen and needed a new faucet. The brass one from Home Depot was perfect and matched our stainless steal appliances very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this purchase! I previously had a very inexpensive and small spigot for under sink filter. This is so much nicer and looks beautiful next to my brushed nickel faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product Hole on my sink is slightly bigger, I thought this fits standard hole but I had to find a washer to user under the hole to be able to install it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Faucet - small install issue The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because the backer plate that holds the faucet to the sink is made of plastic. If you have a larger hole in which to mount you faucet it is impossible to tighten the nut enough to keep the faucet from swiveling. Otherwise it seems pretty good out of the box.
