Product Overview

A 1 HP motor allows this KitchenAid batch feed disposer to power through your toughest disposing challenges. MultiGrind Plus Technology features three stages of grinding. The GrindShear Ring is the ideal solution for stringy foods like cornhusks and celery, delivering two levels of grinding. The Tri-Action Lug System features both fixed and swivel lugs to deliver an even finer level of grinding, while the Undercutter Disk provides an additional third stage of grinding. These three stages combine with premium sound reduction features to help you quietly and efficiently reduce waste volume.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage & Water Won't Drain WARNING: Kitchen Aid recently changed the design of this disposer. Online documentation shows 6-11/16" from bottom of sink to centerline of water discharge but the new design is 9-1/4". The new disposers have 3" long black plastic extension between the disposer and mounting ring. If your plumbing drain is not low enough (like mine) some of the garbage and water will sit inside the disposer and not drain. Even worse, Kitchen Aid support does not yet have any info about this. Can't use kitchen sink or dishwasher now! This could be the same issue across the entire product line. See attached picture showing the 3" extension March 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Rusting Parts on Top of The Line Model Over last two years found cheap steel parts rusting in our sink. They fell off this 'top of thie line' machine. Paid almost $500 only to find this 'best' made product has hidden cheap parts. Why they saved pennies using cheap rustable metal instead of stainless steel is beyond me. Called KA and told: Oh, sorry you are too late, your warranty ran...very sad. Paid top dollar expecting quality only to find they hide the cheap parts inside where you can't see them till they fail. Seen this with other Kitchen Aid stuff...maybe they are just licensing the Kitchen Aid name. And KA, why did the part and your warranty die at the same time? You made your name with your Kitchen Mixers, you are losing your name with sort of shoddy components. October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Self installed batch feed disposal The disposer came with everything necessary to install in its package. Although the model I was replacing was the same make it wasn't the same size. Some creative plumbing attachments made it possible to hook up using the old piping. The old disposal was just a little larger therefore I used a flex fit attachment to hook it up. All in all the only real difficulty was elevating it under the sink enough to start the connection. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Runs quietly, instructions not complete Install had a glitch in that the rubber safety collar was not referenced in the instructions. Apparently it is to be just laid in the drain to prevent things accidently falling in. Very quiet in operation, impressed my daughter who has a noisy insinkerator September 16, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money!!!!! I just installed this and realized there is s little space in the chamber. Half of what my last kitchen aid had. Then there is a rubber shield like a continuous feed would have that now you have to push food down with your hand or something. Then there's the plastic stopper that you need to flip over to plug the sink, which doesn't work. I can her the still draining. Kitchen aid failed on this one. I really wish I could return this, so unhappy. Want my old one back. Was going to buy a kitchen aid dishwasher this weekend, won't be now. March 11, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing!! Worst disposal I've ever used. Not at all quiet. Does not grind bones as I would told it would. Shallow depth flings food that sticks to the underside of the baffle so it has to be cleaned after each use to avoid bacteria growth. Uses a lot of water to completely empty disposal otherwise food just flies around and stays. I've used cheaper, smaller hp disposals that worked better than this one. March 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Disposer Had one installed in my previous home to replace the 20yr old disposer that finally gave up.. What a difference the new features made. Much quieter, grinds faster, and the jam sensor. The magnetic start is a great safety feature especially with children. So impressed with it that I just had one installed in my new home. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by QUIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This 100t Batch feed disposer was installed in Dec2014 and it is amazing how QUIET this unit is ! Even when grinding chicken bones( which normally is loud ) the unit is especially quiet & fast! very pleased with the operation and batch feed performance of this Kitchenaid Disposer! Much improved over older Kitchenaid Disposers! March 24, 2015
