Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst coffee make ever This is the worst coffee make I have ever had. I really wanted to like it but it constantly dissapoints. First thing I noticed right away is that the pot leaks like crazy. Second the machine needs to be cleaned CONSTANTLY (At least twice a month). Third sometimes it will beep (meaning coffeee is done) when there is still water remaining to be used. Fourth the temperature is never hot. We ALWAYS HAVE to reheat in the microwave even after it has just finished. I love my coffee in the morning and having this machine is really stressful - The cheap ones are a lot more reliable compared to this one. November 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by a piece of junk worse excuse for a coffee maker I've ever seen makes cold coffee drips when you pour everything about it is wrong save your money don't buy this JUNK. June 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Coffee Maker Makes great tasting coffee, smaller than other makers and takes up less space on the counter. Easy pour and easy to clean. March 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sharp Looking Coffee Pot! Received this coffee pot from Kitchen aid in exchange for my 12 cup thermal coffee pot. This coffee pot is great! Coffee is good and is hot. So far so good. No spills and over flowing of coffee like my 12 cup. February 12, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by somewhat disappointed Carafe does not keep coffee warm, use powdered creamers for health reasons. With second cup, approx. !/2 hr. after original brew, I have to reheat coffee in microwave otherwise creamer coagulates ie. does not dissolve. Also, no matter what my wife or I do, we must always pour coffee over the sink because it always leaks some coffee. This unit cost $100 in Jan, 2014. I replaced a Melitta brand maker that was purchased in Dec. 2002 for $20. That unit had the auto. shutoff after 2 hrs., preset timer, and glass carafe which poured into the cup. Also, I checked several times with a food thermometer, and it maintained the coffee at 160 degrees F. I had experience with air pots which kept coffee warm for two or three hours, and hoped the thermal carafe would do the same. But unfortunately, no luck. June 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing This unit doesn't pour properly and was a disappointment from the start December 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Spilled Coffee! This Kitchen Aid Coffee Maker makes great coffee, but the stainless steel carfe will not pour a cup of coffee without spilling about 1/3 of your cup of coffee. This results in a mess, plus it is expensive to loose so much of your coffee! Love all other features. However, paying this much for a coffee maker with a badly engineered carfe that will not pour correctly into your cup, is a frustrating experience, that does not get better. Kitchen Aid needs to recall all of these stainless steel carfes March 19, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great features, but.... Everything about this product is GREAT, except 3 things that kind of ruin it for me. 1. The 2 lids on top (Water and coffee). Every time you open either one (mainly the coffee lid), it comes into contact with the water lid and will not open smoothly. I can see they were designed to look slick, but the gap is so small that they interfere with each other. Very annoying. I ended up removing the water lid to avoid this from happening again. 2. Pouring. It has to be done really really slow, if not you'll make a mess. Pot needs to be design to let user pour a little faster. This would be specially useful when pouring to fill water tank. 3. Heat pad temperature is way too hot. Unless you drink the whole pot of coffee when its done, any coffee left will begin to burn and flavor will go down dramatically. I will generally shut if off after brewing as the heat will last for at least an hour and will maintain better flavor. October 24, 2013
