Why does this coffee maker leak water all over the cabinet after a few months of use? I have bought this maker twice and both did the same thing.

It is possible that the unit may need to be programmed to the clean mode and run through the clean cycle. Please contact KitchenAid at 1-800-541-6390 for further troubleshooting tips.

The water filter part number for the KitchenAid 12 cup coffee maker is KCM22WF and the part number for the KitchenAid 14 cup coffee maker is KCM11WF. Please check with your local Home Depot retailer for availability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heating Element Issues!!! We have had 2 of the KitchenAid KCM1402OB coffee makers now in the last 2 years. Both had the Err 2 message come up only after a few months of use! After the first time we called customer service, and Kitchen Aid was happy to send us another coffee maker. We had to return the old one in the box the new one came in. Now we are 6 months or so in with the new one and the same Err 2 has popped up again and it is taking forever for the coffee to brew and will not stay hot long! going back to Kitchen Aid yet again to see what they are willing to do now!!!

The 1st one I purchased, the display went out in less than 2 weeks. Customer service was excellent and sent me a brand new replacement. UNFORTUNATELY, here I am another 2 weeks in with this product and the digital display is going out again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality but great idea My husband and I went shopping for a coffee maker. We looked at several different models. We were sure this was the perfect coffee maker. At first it was. I loved that I could get the coffee ready at night and have it brew for me in the morning. I loved that it would stay warm for up to 4 hours. I also loved the amount of coffee it would brew. We didn't even have it a month and it started leaking water out the back. I took it back and exchanged it for the exact same coffee maker. I really did like the coffee maker. On the second coffee maker the light on the digital time was out on one side. I kept it anyway. Then a few weeks later, in the morning after it would brew, the coffee maker would shut off. For a few days i just turned it back on. I had enough of that and returned the coffee maker for a different brand. I really wish that the quality would have been a lot better on the KitchenAid product.

After just 6 months the coffee maker stopped working all together. Kitchenaid honored the warranty and sent a replacement, but they did not have any in red unless we were willing to wait 5 weeks. So, we had to settle for a replacement in silver. I am giving 2 stars because of the easy set up and use of the coffee maker, and I do like the style and features, but really disappointed that my red one that I loved stopped working and we couldn't get a new red one. When researching replacement water filters, I was informed my old appliance had been recalled. The super helpful customer service associate took my info and immediately sent me a replacement. The new coffee maker looks wonderful on the counter in my new home. It's easy to use and makes great coffee. They were so courteous and prompt to assist me with the issues I had with my first coffee maker. I recieved the coffee maker for Christmas 2015. Around the middle of this summer 2016 the water compartment started to leak. Customer service was very quick to get a new water container to me. It seemed fine for a fews days but then started doing it agin. We called in again which we were sent a brand new coffee maker. All is fine with the new one but it just seems it was poor quality. Some other issues we had with the first one(which we just dealt with) the coffee filter net ripped and the lid to the coffee pot broke off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the only Coffee Pot with ALL the features I sought. Have you ever considered what the water tank looks like on your old coffee pot? It is dark & damp, perfect for growing mold. I love the (easy to clean), detachable water tank! The brewing features on this coffee machine are supreme. The brew cycle is fast, the coffee delicious. Programming the available features to fine tune when and how strong you'd like your coffee is a breeze. My husband loves the coffee this machine brews.

So far the only downsides are that you do really need the Strong button on to make coffee that tastes acceptable and if you break the pot you are screwed because replacements are out of stock until like April or 2017!!! Why would you make something and have no replacements - obviously they are needed a LOT if they are out of stock! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
