Customer Reviews

14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Glass Carafe in Empire Red is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 498.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE ABSOLUTE BEST COFFEE MAKER WE HAVE EVER OWNED I love all the features of the KitchenAid Coffee Maker! It consistently brews perfect coffee and maintains the heat exceptionally well. Given that it offers such marvelous qualities such as a 24-hour programmable feature, variable brew strength selector, and removable, easy to fill reservoir, it certainly surpasses all the competition in every category. Why this coffee maker is so wonderful that it even tells you when it is time to clean it. It comes in three different colors; I love the red as it blends perfectly with my red kitchen décor! Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS COFFEE MAKER! I researched sooo many different coffee makers before I finally settled on the ONLY coffee maker that met ALL of features I wanted in a coffee maker. The biggest selling point for me was the keep warm feature. This machine can be set to keep my coffee hot for up to 4 hours vs the standard two. It also has the removable tank to fill with water so there are no spills trying to fill the machine. The basket that holds the coffee comes out for easy cleaning. All of the electronics are housed in the top of the machine so no worries of accidents happening and frying the machine. There are timers, and all the bells and whistles you would expect from a better made machine. I would not hesitate to purchase this coffee maker again if I ever had to. I could go on about all the great points of this machine but I would simply say if you have come here looking for a great coffee maker you have found it! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quit working after 6 months We bought this coffee maker in red to match the decor in our kitchen and our other countertop appliances. After just 6 months the coffee maker stopped working all together. Kitchenaid honored the warranty and sent a replacement, but they did not have any in red unless we were willing to wait 5 weeks. So, we had to settle for a replacement in silver. I am giving 2 stars because of the easy set up and use of the coffee maker, and I do like the style and features, but really disappointed that my red one that I loved stopped working and we couldn't get a new red one. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have used KitchenAid coffee makers for years, they are simple to use and make great coffee. This coffee maker is different in that it has a plastic water holder in the back, and I love it! You just fill it up and pop it back in - no more spilling water all over the counter trying to pour it into the coffee maker top from the carafe. I have red small appliances on my countertop (many of them kitchen aid) so this fits right in with it's sleek look! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Electronics First of all love the styling on this coffee maker, however after this morning when my latest one died of either a fried integrated circuit board or possibly a fuse I am done. This is the third Kitchen Aid coffee maker I have had in about 4-5 years. The first 1 died from an unreadable display after a year and a half, then I bought another one saying oh its must have been a fluke. Nope second one started doing the same thing after 6 months, Kitchen Aid did replace it (they did wait 6 months to ask for the broken one back, which was odd). The replacement seemed to work fine until this morning when I wake up to an err2 on my display. Sorry for the price of this machine I expect a well built product, which Kitchen Aid does not seem to be able to deliver. I would expect at least a good 10 years out of this product, it averages about 1.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the only Coffee Pot with ALL the features I sought. Have you ever considered what the water tank looks like on your old coffee pot? It is dark & damp, perfect for growing mold. I love the (easy to clean), detachable water tank! The brewing features on this coffee machine are supreme. The brew cycle is fast, the coffee delicious. Programming the available features to fine tune when and how strong you'd like your coffee is a breeze. My husband loves the coffee this machine brews.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LOVE this coffee maker It's a slick looking coffee maker. Brews fairly quick. Has some cool features. ONLY downfall is the digital display goes out quickly! The 1st one I purchased, the display went out in less than 2 weeks. Customer service was excellent and sent me a brand new replacement. UNFORTUNATELY, here I am another 2 weeks in with this product and the digital display is going out again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't break the Glass Pot! So far the only downsides are that you do really need the Strong button on to make coffee that tastes acceptable and if you break the pot you are screwed because replacements are out of stock until like April or 2017!!! Why would you make something and have no replacements - obviously they are needed a LOT if they are out of stock! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
