Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charlene 36" 6 Burner Gas Rangetop
I just recently had this range top installed in my new house so I just used it a few times. I am very satisfied with this range top. I like the fact that the larger burners are in the front end of the range. I have seen other range tops that the large burners are located on the back side of the range which makes it too difficult to cook on. That was a main concern when shopping for my Kitchenaid Range Top. My other reason for purchasing this range top was the fact that Kitchenaid is a very reliable brand. I will send a review after I have used this range top more to update my review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chrisanne We added our Gas Rangetop to our new kitchen
We had our entire kitchen completely renovated that included a 6 gas burner Kitchen Aid Range top. It was necessary to find a range top that had the low simmer option and was heavy duty. We are extremely pleased with our Kitchen Aid and happy that our contractor had suggested it. We had researched many other brands and with what this Kitchen Aid offered and the price, we made the best choice for us. It looks great and is cooking on it has been a dream. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrated chef Nice rangetop, but needs updates
First off this is a really nice unit that many people would love to have in their kitchen. I have my issue with it. Yes I know, first world problems. The good: 6 burners Plenty of heat and control for general cooking, searing etc Sturdy Easy to clean up spills etc The bad or could use improvement As I said before plenty of heat, for general cooking. However the 20k btu burner flame is very wide, you can only utilize it wit a large pot or pan. With a pan it really heats the outside of the pan surface and not so much the center. Yes I understand that good pans (cast iron, aluminum, carbon steel) will help with this. But cooking with a Wok is not good even with the available wok stand. The 20k btu all go to the sides of the wok because there is not a center flame like true commercial burners. They have a dual ring or star burner to help give even heat. With a wok you want a lot of head under and near the center to stir fry. The frustrating part for me is KitchenAid offers newer burners on the drop in rangetop KCGS556ESS, that do what I want, but not in the slide in models. Considering this is a "Commercial-Style" product with a price to match, I think they should have more innovation and true commercial style burners, instead of the same design found on the base models, ie the Non Commercial Style.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Janet Planet Love this Rangetop!
I absolutely love this 6 burner gas rangetop. It looks great. Lighting the burners is so easy. I also love having 6 burners making cooking large meals so easy. It gives you lots of options for power levels for different sized pots and pans. Highly recommend this particular unit. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kim Great Stove!!
We bought this stove 10 years ago when we remodeled our lake home. It is still working great! I love everything about it. Literally NO complaints. It is awesome!!! When we bought a new home. We designed the kitchen layout to accommodate this stove because I loved cooking on it so much.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by boilermish Great except the grates
We've had this cook top a little over a year, and my only complaint is after soaking the grates in soapy dishwater to get grime off I lost some grate feet. Now I have to order new rubber feet so my grates don't rock. Annoying.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PK Mack Truck in the kitchen
Would not review for a year, had to make sure it was as good as advertised. I would consider myself as a man with a passion for cooking. I had some professional training CIA in New Haven CT. 1966, cook and baker in USA 68-70. Out of the kitchen for over 30 years, wife is the real cook. During those years we had electric stoves. My bride grew up with gas and I was trained on gas. When we retired, the center of our new home was the kitchen and the choice of appliances was kitchen aid. We looked at Wolf, Viking, and a few other high end names, but always came back to the workhorse of the kitchen the commercial 6 burner stovetop. You are buying a BMW for the price of a KIA. Just remember this is a commercial stove top, it is cast iron ( ref. the Mack Truck) no glass top to scratch, very heavy grates, not for the weak. This is a serious stove top for serious cooking. You will need a range hood to handle the heat so you will have to get a range hood that will match the ratings of the top. I believe 600 cfm or greater will do it. There is a lot to take into account to upgrade your kitchen I found the people on line from Kitchen Aid to be very helpful and informative. When they could not give me an answer, they went to there resources to get me the right one. (Ref the Range hood). The only disappointment was the wall oven, being a baker, I wanted the steam oven, but the reviews were horrible. Steam and electronics do not work too well. My suggestion is get rid of the electronics and build just a steam oven. This is a lengthy review, but it is from the heart. I do not know anyone or ever worked for anyone who has anything to do with Kitchen Aid. Remember buy it right the first time and buy it once. Do your homework you will not regret your choice.
