5-Speed Blender is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1060.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money I received this blender as a wedding gift, and was only able to use it twice before it just stopped working! I only put the blender through normal use (made two smoothies) -which it struggled to make- and the third time I tried to plug it in, it would not even turn on. I am very disappointed in the power as well. You would expect a blender with "diamond" in the name, to be able to blend frozen fruit, without having to add a TON of liquid. I am interested in the pro-line blender, but too afraid to purchase it and have bad results again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed KitchenAid Customer I bought my KitchenAid 5 speed blender (Tangerine) in 2/2012. I really enjoyed my blender and thought it performed very well. The couplers on the blender have started to get a little worn and give off a smoky smell when the blender is in use. I called KitchenAid, and the representative informed me that they have discontinued the pitcher that I have, and now the couplers are attached to the pitcher on the new 5 speed blenders. So, I can either spend $53 for a new pitcher or buy another whole new blender. I've already spent over $150 on my blender, and it only lasted 5 yrs. Why would I invest more money into a new pitcher that probably won't even work on an older model blender? Definitely not buying another KitchenAid blender. I take excellent care of my kitchen appliances. Thought I would get more than 5 yrs out of my KitchenAid blender.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No support The Blender works well... until the jar breaks in about a year, and there is NO WAY to get a spare part or a new "diamond" jar. As you can see, not even in this page you can find the jar to be sold alone, while the old round jar is available. Don't buy it until you make sure that Kitchen Aid is taking good support for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blender, Makes smoothies, soups, dips - chops nuts! After looking at Ninja products and the popular stuff on the market, I realized those personal blenders don't have much room, and not as much power as I was looking for. Trying to go all organic and blend daily, this KitchenAid blender has proven to be the winner! It is powerful and simple to use, its 5-page mini instruction guide can even tell you what combination of settings to use in order to create various types of blends (nut butters vs smoothies, soups vs baby food, raw foods and lettuce, etc). I can blend frozen fruits, raw spinach and ripe bananas all together and the result is a (very smooth) smoothie! It's easy to clean, too, and I clean by hand. While it sometimes takes a little strength to unlock the blender from its base when you're ready to pour, it proves to be safe and sturdy due to this locking feature. I have been using this blender 5x/week for about two months without issue. And for those with a noise concerns - all blenders are relatively loud. I'm not sure why 'noise level' is a consideration when looking into blenders, at all (don't bother). Also great - the blender comes in a variety of colors, and this orange or 'tangerine' blender is true to the color displayed online! A great product I would buy again if ever the need should arise. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where have you been all my life?! So we haven't had a blender in over 5 years, because the one we had broke and I thought, "What do we actually need one for?" Christmas 2016 my mother surprises me with this KitchenAid blender that matches our cobalt KitchenAid mixer. WOW! This little baby is AMAZING! I seriously made muffins with it the other day. Yes that's the blender. Ground up oats, added the yogurt, worked like a charm! We also used it for some Miami Vices one night...and I have never seen a blender grind up ice that quickly or efficiently. I am so happy with this gift and can't believe the superior quality in each of our KitchenAid appliances. 5 stars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Blender Ever! I use to have a cheap blender and it died after 1.5 years. I decided that I would look into investing in a better blender & after doing some research, I ended up choosing this blender. I use to think all blenders were pretty much the same, I was so wrong! First thing I looked at was the bottom because with my old blender, if I didnt put it on exactly the right way, the mechanism that turned the blades became stripped and would shave off plastic on the bottom and i would have plastic shavings fly everywhere (and a majorly stinky burning smell) as I blended. The mechanism on this blender is made of a very hard plastic and the top locks very securely into the bottom. Some of the negative comments i read about this blender when I was researching was that the top was hard to take off. Although I wouldnt say it is "hard" necessarily, I would say that it locks into place very well and you do have to apply pressure when rotating the top to take it off after you have finished blending. I do not look at this as a negative though! I will never have the stinky shavings with this one! I love smoothies! Its mainly what I use the blender for. I was blown away at how quickly it blended up all the frozen fruit! Literally in seconds! My old blender would take a couple minutes (and i thought that was fast!) The shape of the blender is wonderful, it makes it so easy for no spill pouring. Even though my old blender had a spout, this blender has a triangularish shape on one side that guarantees no spilling which is fantastic for anything thick because it doesnt always come out in a steady stream when pouring out. There were many times that too much would come out at once with my old blender and it wouldnt all make it into the cup, that has never happened with this blender! I have had it for a month and a half and I am super happy with this purchase. It is easy and efficient and i can put it in the dishwasher. I wish I would have invested in a quality blender way sooner! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Blender Purchased this through Groupon. I have enjoyed it so far. My experience prior to this blender was with hamilton beach, cuisinart, etc. This blender is far more impressive and capable compared to what I had. I have made everything from an -alla vodka- sauce, to smoothies, to just chopping up vegetables. The difference in this blender's abilities far surpasses my previous experiences. I am very pleased with the product. That being said, I have had the blender now for a couple months and I have used it at least once a day! I haven't had any mechanical problems with it. Clean up is a breeze. My dishwasher is broken right now so I am not sure how well the blender will hold up in the dishwasher. However, hand washing any blades has always been a requirement for my kitchen tools as it prevents the blades from dulling faster. I hand wash the lid right after use. The reason why is because I got the white blender. If I were to leave any kind of food with pronounced colors or oils, I am almost positive it will stain the white top (I am talking pasta sauces, chiles, berries for smoothies, etc.). I put a little dishwashing soap in the blender, pour water in it and let it set for a couple minutes. Debris comes right off. Scent of food removed. Air dried for best results. There are a few things I would change to it. Applying a sensory/safety button. I made a beautiful marinara sauce & threw it in the blender for a quick puree. I took the lid off after and proceeded to grab a bowl to put my marinara in. I came back and slid slightly on a toy my son had brought to the kitchen floor. To catch myself, I had one hand on the counter and one accidentally hit the pulse button. Up flew the hot marinara - almost burning my son and I - and making a mess in the kitchen. If only there was a sensor that allowed for NO blade movement when it noticed the full lid wasn't on. Also, I wish the blade at the bottom was removeable. I think it would help washing it (but that's my OCD talking.) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
