Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 249 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pricey but we had a small space and this unit fits it. The title is the big explanation for why we chose this model. Our custom built kitchen is 16 years old and when we wanted to replace all our appliances, we had to work within its confines. That meant choosing a refrigerator and microwave that were small enough to fit the spaces. I do not find that this microwave is a great deal different from other less expensive microwaves we have owned. It was pricier than most, but ultimately cheaper than rebuilding our kitchen. But yes, it works very well! September 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a consistent or quality product- would not buy Negatives 1. Coffee either spills even on beverage setting or if temp or time are decreased, does not get warm enough. 2. Covering on touch buttons began to wrinkle and peel within a few weeks 3. Depth of machine mentioned in specifications does not include the main microwave generating unit in the back which is an extra 2 inches deep- not a problem if you use it as a countertop microwave; but we have a cabinet and could not place into existing space due to that extra depth. Positives 1. Nice clean look 2. Large interior June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Microwave Purchased this high end counter top microwave to build in to cabinets. Much quieter than standard microwave. August 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk I can't believe this piece of junk costs $500. This is a $100 microwave at best. The lights are really ugly and way too bright. The alarm is horribly shrill and cheap sounding. And it's built with cancer causing materials, unlike 80% of the other microwaves sold. I am so sorry I even tried to replace my previous model. It's awful. What a rip off. I am waiting for it to break, as many other reviews state here. Look at review on other sites too - grim.... April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Perfect "Office Wife" I normally never review a product unless it is either worthy, or just that bad. I purchased the Kitchen Aid Counter top Microwave for my office and it is the perfect addition. To start from the beginning- Home Depot offers to lowest price for this product. You won't find the savings for this purchase anywhere else. Second, the other department stores (i.e.- Sears and Lowe's) told me that this was a special ordered product and I would have to wait 2 WEEKS. Home Depot not only go it to my office 2 DAYS later, but they hauled away our old one for free and installed the new. That is just to start! Lowest cost, quickest delivery, and easiest installment. Now- after having had our new microwave for over a month, our office has started calling it "the perfect office wife"!! It cooks your food perfectly, heats your coffee nicely, and during conference meetings (which happen on a regular basis) you can't even hear it being used! Me and 40 other colleagues use this machine and it is MORE than well worth the cost. October 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Buy Purchased this microwave less than 4 years ago. Now the microwave doesn't want to come on when you start it. It appears like the microwave thinks the door is open when it is closed. The only way to get it to come on is open & close the door and keep trying to hit the start button to see if it will start. We have always purchased KitchenAid in the past but this is the last KitchenAid I will buy. The quality keeps getting worse & worse. Our 5 year old washing machine sounds like a jet taking off when it goes through the spin cycle. The door on our dishwasher that is about the same age pops open usually at least once while it is running. We either have been very unlucky and happened to have somehow received a lot of bad lemons or our experience is indicative of KitchenAid's attention to quality or lack thereof. Very sorry. Wish it weren't so. January 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broken in 2 years Flashes and buzz came in after 2 yrs of use. Broken, sad November 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good microwave I replaced an older Kitchen Aid with this model. It does its' job just fine but there is an annoying bubble in the touch pad that spans several buttons. Since the first one delivered had to be sent back, the door was crooked, I didn't give it much thought as I knew there was another one on the way. Home Depot was quite amazing with the cross shipping by the way. But that bubble was evident on both. When you're facing it head on it's difficult to see but the profile ... obvious. I'm happy with it though. I just wish it was cheaper. May 5, 2015
